Arriving in Barbados from the UK after 6pm, it's unlikely you'll want a full dinner. Therefore can really recommend 'Just Grillin'', located in the shopping mall 20 yards away from Blue Horizon, in Worthing direction. Simply grilled fish / chicken with salad and vegetables is reasonably priced, delicious and just what you need to re-set the body clock after a long journey - and washed down of course with a cold Banks beer!

I stayed at Blue Horizon recently and liked it - my room was on the top floor (no lifts, but staff immediately offered to carry my bag and didn't expect a tip), and this meant that I had the most beautiful view of the beach and blue ocean. Room was comfy, spotlessly clean and the hotel is in a great location (lots of places to eat and drink around, beautiful beach literally across the road). Staff friendly and helpful. I'll use Blue Horizon again.

Stayed in the Blue Horizon for a week over New Year and for the price was more than satisfied. The staff are friendly and helpful, the room was clean and it was ideally situated across the road from the beach. If you're visiting Barbados and expect to spend most of your time on the beach and out at about at bars and restaurants the Blue Horizon is perfectly adequate. The only complaint is that some rooms are situated right next to the local drive-thru meaning that you run the risk of listening to a barrage of fast food orders well into the early hours. We now know the Chefette menu in its entirety and have a detailed insight into the local taxi drivers' favourite meal combos. Ask to be on the other side of the hotel :)

I would definatly use this Hotel again. The location was ideal. Right across from beautiful Rockley Beach. Very nice beach with a small reef for snorkeling. I saw lots of pretty fish & they ate bread right out of my hand. The locals sell their beach wear in huts just before the beach & you can barter some good deals. Lots of great restraunts & bars within walking distance. The famous St. Lawrence Gap is only about a 15 minute walk from the hotel. Don't expect much from the included continental breakfast. Coffee, powdered juice, toast & fruit bread ( a heavy coconut bread) is all that you get. We never ate lunch or dinner at the hotel so I can't comment on that. The room we had was clean & the beds were comfortable. The a/c worked very good.
