Check out Acadie for breakfast crepes. We ate there three times. It's excellent! On Arizona, between 2nd and 3rd.

The striking euro centric lobby is a little over the tops with the fragrant candles burning in the evening, but the experience is all good. The location, just 1/2 block away from the 3rd street promenade, with its shops, resturaunts, street performers and beautiful people watching is perfect, and still only a 1/2 block away from the terrific beach. the rooms are space and the linens are luxurious. A GREAT value for LA land...

Would stay there again. Very friendly and honest. Left shirt in room and when we called the next day, housekeeping had turned it in. It was $150 Tommy Bahamma shirt.

nice hotel to look at however due to the popularity of the top floor bar you can sometimes wait 10 mins a guest to get a lift and when they do come they are full of drunk college kids, these college kids then spill out to a common area at 2am outside your room and the hotel staff leave them there shouting and screaming. Dont book a tour with them they dont seem to know which tour operators they are supposed to use and ends up costing you a fortune in time and money.

I cannot recommend the Huntley to other travelers based on the bad service and uncleanliness. Premium Ocean View Room was very small with numerous stains on the wall, badly ripped desk chair and a layer of dust on the nightstands. Had to scrunch into the corner to see a sliver of ocean out the window. The true view was of neighborhood apartments & rooftops. There was a used towel stuffed behind the hairdryer and soap stains & four dark hairs in the tub. I planned to order a light dinner thru room service but the menu was missing from the book. The front desk provided a menu when requested but when I called to order I was informed the menu had changed and neither the soup or chicken available. I did not receive turndown service the first night. Elevator wait was always more than 3 minutes and in one case more than 6. Service at The Penthouse was the worst I have ever received. Twice our glasses sat empty for over 15 minutes as we tried to get the attention of the bartenders only to have two of them look right at us and turn away. I asked if it would be possible to order food and was told it was too late. Several minutes later the couple next to me placed a food order. Bartender was extremely rude and seemed very put out about having to bring us drinks. Considering we spent $250 before tip, we were not just taking up space. Very disappointed and would never stay here again. I encourage other travelers to spend the extra money and stay at one of the elegant hotels on the beach.
