"Nice place to stay"

I stayed in The Westin Gaslamp Quarter in May 2009 while attending a conference in San Diego. I was glad that I booked it through Hotels.com rather than the conference site because it saved me £170 over 5 nights. The hotel was in a very good location. Next to the shopping centre (very convenient for fast food and quick shopping), 5 min away from the 5th avenue (the place to go for music and entertainment), 5min walk from Ralph's supermarket (good for cheap snacks), 10-15 min walk from the conference centre (depends on your pace) and 15min from the seaport village (food by the seaside). The room was clean and the bead very comfortable. The hotel was quiet even in the night that they help the high-school proms (I stayed on the 5th facing the reception area). The staff was friendly although I had no need for major interaction. Overall, good location for downtown.” 22/05/2009
