"Nicest place I've ever been!"

Having never been to the West coast of America before, this was a journey into the unknown. However, I shouldn't have worried. San Diego, and Mission Bay in particular, is the nicest place I've ever been. The placing of the Hyatt Regency, right on a marina, and overlooking the bay is perfect. It's a 15 minute walk from Belmont Park, and the Pacific ocean. It is also a 10 minute bus journey from the Old Town transit centre, which is the hub to take a bus or a trolley, to anywhere in the city. The pool is lovely, and the adjacent swim lounge is relaxing. The Red marlin restaurant is very impressive, and don't be put off by the smartness. The staff are very friendly, and we had the most spectacular Easter Sunday Brunch ever, there. The staff trhoughout the hotel are very friendly (naturally so, it doesn't seem put on) and very efficient. Our only small issue was to be given a pool side room on our first night, instead of an ocean view. This was sorted the following day, and we received a complimentary breakfast for our trouble.
