The parking is very small, but nothing the motel can do about given the lack of "growing" room around.

We were awoken by the cleaning crew at 6am in the morning due to their loud carts, loud talking and vacuuming. After asking them to be more quiet it did not good. Our day off was ruined and I think this place should not be patronized.

Seaworld is an attraction that just can't be missed, and since your right next door, definitely check out the Cabrillo tide pools, Belmont Park Mission Beach. Also, Coronado Island and La Jolla are not far away and easy to find. Deep Sea fishing is an experience you don't want to miss.

We stayed in Vagabond Point Loma for 4 nights. We wanted a room with single bed, but we got one with double bed. This reduced the usable space by a large margin, almost to the point of discomfort. Had we not had that extra bed, I would have rated this stay as very comfortable. The room service quality was nice - beds made everyday, towels, soaps, body lotion bottles replaced every day etc. Overall, the rooms were clean, liveable and smoke free. The parking lot was a little small for the place, but we never had issues with finding parking space. The hotel had complementary continental breakfast in the morning between 6 am and 10 am. However, once we went there at 9 am and they had run out of most of the goodies. We had to content ourselves with green apples, which was disappointing. We liked the location of this hotel though - close to the San Diego harbor (not on the same side as downtown) and the marina. We had come as tourists and we found the hotel's location to be quite touristy. Freeways aren't too close, but it didn't bother us that much, because the drive to the freeway was beautiful everytime. There are some restaurants within walking distance. There was also a Subway, which was a life saver on one of the late nights. There is a loud bar right in front of the hotel, which I found a little scary. But all in all, we would stay again if we get a chance.

Nothing special here, but a clean hotel in decent condition. A bit noisy as walls do not block passing traffic noise well.

If you are looking for value, this is the place. The rooms have been updated and include a coffee maker, a microwave and small refrigerator. Coffee and pastries are available in the morning and cookies in the afternoon. And it's in a great location. It's not fancy, but certainly adequate.

If you decide to go to the San Francisco Zoo, make sure to get the Value Passes. The Zoo is extremely large. We were there the entire day.
