OK hotel

Lovely lobby and great location. Room was comfortable but not huge and overlooked a brick wall! Great location and only a few minutes walk from the tram terminal.

Dissapointing..

Great location and one could be easily fooled by the clean entrance and check-in area but the hotel interior and passageways are dank and smelly. Room was positioned directly in front of giant vent which made a loud noise continuously. Service was not too friendly and the room had poor ventilation and was very stuffy.

Still offers quality service.

Buying a 7-day City pass was very helpful in saving money on transportation costs..allowed us unlimited use of cable cars & buses. Never had to rent a car!

Great rate, great location, good service, comfortable room

I had a great dining experience at the Carnelian Room restaurant at the top of 555 California Street. The views of the city and the bay were breathtaking, and the food was fantastic. Dressy attire is the norm, and it's a bit pricey, but you get what you pay for.

This hotel is in a great location, and can't be beat for the value. The staff is excellent and they provided everything I could have wanted.

a good hotel with a great location

Sears is excellent for breakfast as is Bellini's. A Muni passport may not represent value for money - we bought a day one and were disappointed to find that the cable cars were full up especially in the afternoon.

Best room in the house

Try Lori's Diner just round the corner for a true 50's style diner with great menu for breakfasts

It was in a good location, good service, and close Union Square Shopping.

They good restaurant around the block from the hotel on Powell St., Chinesse, Italian, sandwhich shops, starbucks and Pub's in walking distance.

San Francisco Handlery

The Cheesecake factory on top of Macy's on Union Square. Sears dining on Powell was great for breakfast
