Unfortunately, the carpets were dirty and smelly. There was no heating and our request for a heater and/or extra blankets was never fulfilled. The shower stall also leaked. The best thing about this hotel is that it's centrally located and it's good for the budget conscious.

Upon our arrival we were assigned a room that had yet to be cleaned. The second room we were given had a trick door lock that took a special technique to open. This was demonstrated to us by a passing maintenance worker. At bedtime we learned that the intermittent beeping we were hearing was a dying battery in the smoke detector. And when we returned home we had a lingering odor in all of our belongings from the less than fresh air of our room.

One of the very worst hotels I've stayed in. When we arrived - admittedly quite late - we were told that there were no twin rooms available - even though we'd pre-paid. Agreeing to give us two separate rooms, it took several attempts to find us something usable. The first room had no light. The next one was already occupied - the poor resident got a bit of shock when we opened the door! Room number three, where I slept, was tatty, with a hole in the bathroom door. Worse, one of pillowcases was dirty. It was a Saturday night, but the hotel was still pretty noisy at 2am, with shifty characters hanging around. In fairness, the staff did their best and were courteous, but there's not much to recommend this place.

Surley, uncaring staff, smelly dirty lift, odd smell in room, mouse in room! New room better, but hot, no air con, repeated power cuts to room ceiling fan and bathroom. Lowlife guests, and very very expensive. Please please remove this dump fom your listings.

We arrived at the hotel in pouring rain at 11pm and were pleased to be able to check in straight away. Major plus was the free onsite undercover parking. The hotel itself was a different story. Initially, we were given a room for which the electronic key card would not work, which meant every time we wanted to get into our room we had to go to the lobby (through the maze of steps and lifts which took forever) and get them to call onsite maintenance people to open the door for us. We waited almost an hour to get into our room one morning and were absolutely FURIOUS to find that the maintenance person would not come to unlock the door because "they didnt believe" the front desk that our key didnt work. We could see the lazy maintenance people downstairs who were supposed to come up and unlock the door for us but they simply couldnt be bothered and kept watching television in their little room. AVOID getting room 312 at all costs! Anyway, we were upgraded to a top floor suite, with great views over SF and the Golden Gate Bridge. It was more like a 1brm apartment, but still the furniture was quite shabby and very outdated and the kitchen was non-functional. The lifts stunk of cigarette smoke and we were really off put by the service. The saving graces were the parking, the views, and the comfortable bed. And the price. You only get what you pay for! But it's passable for a night or two.

hotel room was nasty. Carpet was stained with who knows what.Room had exposed wiring at electrical plugs. The elevator seemed to be on its last leg, and recked of urine. Honestly, the hotel room reminded me of some horrible little hostel one would find in Europe.

I liked staying there except for the terribly stained carpet, someone had apparently spilled an entire pot of coffee and no one bothered to resolve it! The staff was fine, the bathroom was medium (tub kinda drained slow) The bed was fabulous, nice king size comfy and clean and that's the part I cared about the most. Overall a place to crash out for a good price. If u get a room facing the street it's loud but u can see the golden gate and the bay, nice view.

We brought our own sheets and towels to be safe...and boy, were we glad we did that. We both literally had bugs in our bed, and there was no air conditioning. The front desk was sort of helpful, but that did not make our hotel room any better.
