The hotel is in a very good central location - easy access to all the attractions. Breakfast is served in one of the rooms, so you pick up what you would like and go back to eat to your room, which was perfectly fine for the trip, but may not be suitable for all. Very good value for money.

When booking a hotel in the US, I always assume that the room will have some form of air-con, if only there for when it's necessary. Even the cheapest Motel has it. My assumption was wrong. We stayed there in late summer. The weather was warm, the nights were chilly but the room was like an oven, day and night, windows open or not, no matter how cold it was outside. Leaving the windows open was impossible. Although the area has little traffic at night, every conceivable vehicle with a siren passed the hotel, all night and every night. Trucks delivered during the small hours and we were treated to the beeps when the trucks backed up, slowly. We had to buy an electric fan and earplugs to sleep. The hotel looked great, on the surface. The reception is very modern, everything looks recently remodelled and there are even mini TV screens mounted in the walls next to the elevators, for whatever reason. The list of surface expense goes on. Some of that money could have gone into room comfort since I don't tend to sleep in the reception or hallway when at a hotel. The concierges were superb but the reception staff seemed clueless and badly trained. The best aspects were the location and the Sushi restaurant opposite the hotel, which was unbelievably good.

My wife spent three days just lying in bed with a bad cold, but it was comfortable anyway. The room was a little noisy, from the shower next door, and also noise coming in when the window was open, since there's no A/C, but in general we liked staying there. Complimentary breakfast was convenient and good (bagels, grapefruit, muffins, tea, etc.), and in the lobby you can get California-ish water, flavored with strawberries, cucumbers, etc.

This hotel is in a nice location to Union Square but that's about it. Must park in public lot and walk two blocks to hotel. Room was clean and comfortable but had a view of only ugly rooftops with loud generators buzzing 24/7. It was a hot day for SF (90+degrees) with no air conditioning and I could not even open my windows at night without hearing loud generators buzzing on the rooftops next to my room.

Can't beat the location - just a block off Powell Street. The cable car stop, Union Square stores, BART and MUNI bus stops are within 1-2 minute walk. I wouldn't recommend this hotel for the summer season since there is no A/C. During our stay (October 11-19), it got hot during the afternoon inside the room, which gave us all the more reason to get out and do something! A small fan is provided which kept the room comfortable in the mornings and evenings. The staff was very polite and helpful with information on restaurants and directions.

I was pleasantly surprised by this hotel. I feel they made a real effort to offer customer service and I appreciated the continental breakfast [not extensive but generous], and the afternoon wine receptions as well. The hotel is clean and well-furnished and in a great location near Union Square. My only slight complaint was internal noise, I could hear the tv from the next room, but otherwise I would stay there again.

My husband and I stayed for a week at the Hotel Fusion on our honeymoon and were very impressed. The staff were all friendly and helpful, it is an excellant location, free breakfast and free internet use. Don't go expecting a 5 star hotel but it is clean and comftable, our room was a decent size but no air conditioning which meant it was hot at night, they did however provide a fan. The breakfast was good but not varied and you have to take it back to your room but it was good despite this. We would definatly recommend this hotel and if we go back to San Francisco we would stay here again.

Great location, good value for money and efficient staff. A little city noise, but no different than staying in London's West-end.
