Grand Café - Guests enjoy preferred seating at this French brasserie-style restaurant reminiscent of a Parisian railway station circa 1929. Décor includes travel posters, soaring ceilings, arched windows, glowing chandeliers, and original sculptures. Contemporary seasonal cuisine and American favorites available daily for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Specialties include grilled “hanger” steak with roasted shallots and Sonoma duck breast with Yukon Gold potatoes. Fresh seafood daily, including clams, mussels, periwinkles, and oysters.
Petite Café and Bar - Occupying the front side of the hotel, this popular bistro bar serves French favorites such as Salade Lyonnaise and a classic cheese omelet until late evening on weekends. Sophisticated cocktails–there are five kinds of Manhattans–compliment after-theater socializing.

Was greeted in a very friendly manner by all the staff. Deluxe Queen Room was just about about large enough for a 3 night stay albeit storage space was very limited for clothing and bags. Free tea and coffee served daily between 9 and 10am was welcoming and there was a wine reception I think between 6 and 7pm but as we were out the whole time never experienced that so cant comment. The only negative comment I have (which I didnt mind) was that our window faced a wall so there was no view to albeit it was very quiet with the exception of a family being put next door to us with a screaming child!

We cannot say enough about how wonderful our experience was at this wonderful hotel. Location is important and this hotel is ideally located. Decor is important and this hotel is beautiful. However, the friendliness and quality of the staff and service push the Monaco to new limits and we would have no hesitation in thouroughly recommending a stay here. Dine in the restuarant or the cafe for great service, food and ambience.

Check-in and check-out were very fast and efficient, rooms very well presented, clean and comfortable. Did not eat in the resturant but it looked pretty good, did drink in the bar though and that was again, very good service and bar was fully stocked. Location is pretty good, walk along Geary street towards union square and beyond fine and we felt very safe - there is generally a lot of foot-traffic. Past, say 11pm consider getting a taxi.

"We were over the moon with this beautiful hotel"by A from Dublin
We arrived in San Francisco following an ordeal of a delay in Dallas Airport and were met by the most helpful staff. The hotel and rooms are beautifully decorated - the most comfortable bed I have ever slept in - morning tea/coffee in the sitting room is a lovely touch - highly recommend this hotel for its ambience, locality and staff.
