My friend and I were greatly impressed with the hotel staff, room and amendities offered by Hotel Nikko while on a recent trip to San Francisco. We were booked into a junior suite and therefore I cannot speak to the quality of other rooms at the hotel but I was very impressed with our room and the attentiveness of the staff!

We stayed 4 nights in the Nikko and the hotel was lovely, the staff very helpful. The hotel is close to all amenities, and as we did not have a car all the buses, trains were close by. Shopping was good too. We enjoyed our stay in San Francisco.

The Nikko was a very pleasant experience; the lobby is bright and spacious, front desk service was friendly and efficient, and the rooms were clean, well designed and appointed. Stayed in a premium king size room...room size was not that big but not cramped either...cozy. Overall has a relaxing atmosphere due to the well appointed furniture and bathroom using nice contemporary designs and light color/texture combinations. Hotel has great location very close to Union Square. Will definitely stay again!

The suites were spacious and clean. We got the 1.5 bath suite which was great with 2 kids. There was comp. breakfast in the morning and wine & cheese in the afternoon. The location was great - about 1.5 blocks from Union Square and 2.5 blocks from the end of the cable car line. It was walking distance to Chinatown as well (if you don't mind walking uphill). Nice place - we would use it again.

I decided to treat myself to a nice time in S.F. and stay at the Nikko. When I checked in, they immediately offered me an upgrade that actually wasn't that much more money that included free internet service, which I was going to use, free breakfast in their restaurant Anju, which is one of the best deals in town with their mix of Japanese and American breakfast items, and a larger room in the Nikko Suites section which included a few extra amenities. (Though I never got the robe and slippers next to the bed, which I had gotten the last time I was there, for some reason I didn't miss it and never called the desk on it.) The wide screen TV was persnickety at times but I didn't watch it that much anyway. Great Time.

Hotel Nikko is a beautiful and beautifully appointed hotel in a great location just off Union Square. Loved the hotel with two exceptions. First they charge you to use a computer in the business office and secondly it took a while to get a taxi in the evening even using the doorman. Otherwise the hotel is a four star experience.

Hotel Nikko is in a great location and rooms were clean and nicely decorated. However, I don't think I have ever been in a smaller hotel room before. Even though it was only overnight, my husband and I felt very cramped. At least we had a big bathroom. Our son's room was small also, but he had a really small bath. Overall, I would not stay here again. To many better rooms in San Francisco.

The valet and bell service were great. It was nice to have Starbucks and shopping so close. We had problems with the room service orders both mornings and the front desk was not willing to resolve anything upon check out.
