This hotel was a joy to stay at. For a business trip, the rooms were good sized, functional and clean. Wireless service quality was excellent and free - something we need as business travellers. The 5th floor breakfast/dinner areas was very good for meetings. The gym was small but functional. The staff were curteous, helpful and happy. The location was central to the convention centre, shopping and restaurants. San Francisco is a beautiful, vibrant and cosmopolitan city.

Definitely one of the best locations in San Francisco. Ideal for Union Square and easy access to all the public transport. Very comfortable hotel and very accomodating staff.

City Centre hotel - made the perfect holiday. Rooms pleasant and clean. Staff attentive, friendly and a pleasure to deal with - they helped make the holiday. Would defiantly recommend this hotel although it is probably not suited for children but this is down to the inner city location. A+

Were told we would have a room with a garden view, it was the view of a roof. Not value for money, as the they charge for items that are complimentary in hotels of the same standard and price, e.g. they charged for internet access when there is free wireless. We found the reception very cold/impersonal and too businesslike (remember not everyone is there for a business trip!!). The complimentary tea and coffeee finished an hour earlier than in the brochure and when I rang the recption to ask about this, I was questioned. Staff need to read the brochure.

San Francisco is already an amazing place to be, but staying in a hotel as centrally located and as comfortable as the Palomar makes the trip complete. The beds were very comfortable. The flat screen tv was a nice touch. We had a great view of Market Street. The location was impecable. Market Street is full of shops. The MOMA is walking distance, as well as AT&T Park. If you are going somewhere else in the city, the tram is just up the street, and S.F.'s public transit is phenomenal. The restaurant at the Palomar has great drinks and food, and the employees were always very courteous and helpful.

The big plus to this hotel compared to others is the location. Although getting a cab was a nightmare at any time of day and annoyingly the front desk were keener to provide you a limo at 5x the cab rate. The room was very comfortable, although the towels were small and a little substandard for a premium room. It was sometimes noisy as we were at the front of the hotel from buskers playing on market street, but I'm sure other rooms at the rear/side would be less noisy. The bed was too soft for my wife and I but thats just personal preference. Finally, other than one South African the front desk were pretty clueless about local eateries, so do your own research

I often travel to SF on business and this is my hotel of choice. I've been forced to stay in other local hotels due to vacancy and always wish I was back at the Palomar.

The room and service was excellent. Location is good. I was a bit surprised by the quality of the picture (not good) on the digital TV.

Good that hotel is very central to Union Square. Disappointed that there was no tea/coffee making facilities in rooms. For the whole of my stay - 7 days the ice machine did not work. TV also was not available for 24 hours. For the price of the hotel its the little things that make a pleasant stay and these were lacking.
