The hotel staff was very helpful and attentive. Any special requests we had (e.g., foam pillows) were met with a smile and an unbelievably fast turn around time. The restaurant in the hotel was great for a quick breakfast before hitting the airport on our way back. They also had a fun happy hour with the most attentive and friendly servers. The room was clean, large, and comfortable. I can't wait to go back!

The JW Marriott is very well located and comfortable but our experience was seriously compromised by learning when we checked in that there were no rooms with 2 beds available, which is what we had reserved. This seemed especially surprising since we were checking in at 5:00 pm, which does not seem an unusally late check-in time.

We ask for a corner room on an upper floor, the view of the city was fantastic.

Staff members are very friendly and professional. But after what seemed to beeing constant knocking at our door from staff for turn down service and housekeeping, my wife and I became annoyed. We searched our room for the privacy hang tag, but of course, our room didn't have one. I asked for one, but never got it. And by then our stay was almost over, so I didn't ask again. The shower situation was more annoying however. The shower curtain rod sits too low which makes the curtain itself hang down into the tub. The rod is not adjustable, so as you are showering, you can't help stepping all over the thing! Staff needs to work on keeping up with the trays left out in the hallway. Somedays, we noticed trays sitting out all day with trash and half eaten food on them. Gross!

The view from our room was spectacular. It is conveniently located walking distance to a lot of shops and restaurants, as well as the Muni and Bart. All of the hotel staff was very friendly. The bed wasn't the most comfortable and the shower had low water pressure, but overall it was a very nice stay.

Air conditioning did not work - They provide a heavy comforter which was too hot to use.

Our stay was woderfull. My wife and I stayed for 4 nights on our Anniversary, and this was our jumping off point for touring the city. It was an excellent location right adjacent union square, probably the best place to stay and do the city. Lots of nice restaurants and shopping, and close to china town and north beach (we walked there 2-3 times). My wife can't wait to go back and have a weekend just to shop.

This is a great hotel with a great locations. I was scared to see how small the room was, because of comments that people make about the size of the rooms in San Francisco. But to our surprise the room was very nice and had a rather large bathroom. Make sure that you pack your walking shoes. My wife and I are in pretty good shape and we were worn out from the walking. Parking in the city is too expensive so if you can get by without a car, don't rent one. The transportation is very good for a big city. The Powell/Hyde Street Cable Car line runs through Union Square on a regular basis. Its 5 dollars to ride the car one-way. We ate at Neptune's Place at Pier 39 and had a great view of the Golden Gate Bridge and Alcatraz. The food in San Francisco is a little pricey, but its very good. Make sure that you have some clam chowder in a sourdough bread bowl. Its excellent. Alcatraz is a must and if you are in shape.....bike across the Golden Gate bridge to Sausalito. The city is amazing and worth seeing. The Marriott hotel was excellent in every way and Union Square is the place to stay.

The hotel was recently remodeled, and was very nice. It was in a convenient location to many things including shopping and restaurants. The room was very comfortable. We ate breakfast at the restaurant and it was wonderful. We would stay there again.
