This hotel is located in the Financial District of downtown San Francisco. It is ideally located for both shopping and sighr seeing. The hotel provides a courtesy car for short trips in the area - just look after the driver, a $10 tip saves you the time in looking for a taxi at peak times. Breakfast is expensive at up to $25 per person but there are lots of cafes / coffee shops in the immediate area where breakfast can be enjoyed at half that price. Bottled water is expensive in the room at $6 and I suggest that you visit the fitness centre on the 3rd floor where free water and fruit snacks are provided. Staff are very friendly and helpful and the room, bathroom and linen were spotless. Overall a most enjoyable stay in a friendly and accessible city.

We've stayed at several Omni properties, and the SF hotel shares most of their features: rich fabrics and woodwork, restrained elegance. We arrived late evening and were assigned to a small, rather awkward room. Nothing really wrong with it, but we felt a bit cramped. I was traveling with my adult son, and had specified two double beds. When we checked in, our room had one king. When I asked for a change, I was told nothing was available, which may well have been true. But no effort was made to accommodate us for the second or third nights of our stay.

The staff was outstanding. The lobby was nice. Parking was ridiculously expensive. We spent most of our time sightseeing and wine tasting. All we did at the hotel was sleep. Holiday Inn is just as good for that. Make your reservations early or you will only be able to get a very expensive bed.

Great location in the heart of San Francisco close to Chinatown, North Beach and Union Square. Typical 4-star luxury with overly friendly staff. The bedding could use an upgrade, though.

This hotel had a good location in the financial district but wasn't worth the money and didn't really live up to it's star rating. I've stayed in other Omni Hotels and had a better experience. The water pressure in the shower is non-existent and the beds were not very comfy, beding not so plus. The room was more like what I would have expected at a Hilton.

Location was great, cable car right outside the dor, Muni/Bart down the street. We visit San Francisco often and found this location a bit quieter than the Pier 39 area yet still in the center of things. Staff was friendly and helpful. Room was very comfortable, including "turn down service" in the evening. The Omni is a popular businessman's destination hotel during the week but a vacationer's hotel on weekends. I definitely recommend it!

From the moment the front door was opened on our way in to check in to the time the front door was opened on our way after check out, my girlfriend and I were treated like royalty at the Omni. I've been to San Francisco many times and the Omni is the BEST hotel I've stayed in. The service is exquisite. Everyone from the doorman to the front desk personnel to the housekeeping staff is exceptionally friendly, always upbeat, and very helpful. The hotel itself is very clean, elegant, and conveniently located close to Chinatown, North Beach, and the Financial District. The California Street Cable Car line runs past the hotel's front door, and the BART station is five blocks away. The room was large, clean, and well maintained. There was a nice flat screen TV and DVD player in our upgraded "signature" room, though not every room may be equipped similarly. Every morning our housekeeper would leave us a handwritten note wishing us a pleasant day. We'd write her back telling her of our travel adventures and leave her a well-deserved tip for her service. She even recommended a great place to try authentic dim sum! Staying at the Omni was definitely the key to a most enjoyable San Francisco adventure! I'll be back to San Francisco soon and, without a doubt, will be staying at the Omni again!

The Omni might be geared more to business travelers, but it was just fine for our vacation stay in SF. The location, in the financial district, was walking distance to the Embarcadero, Ferry Bldg. and Chinatown, and right on a cable car line. The area felt safe for walking at night. With tall office buildings nearby, it lacks a breathtaking view. But our room, a deluxe king with marble bath, etc., was lovely, spacious and well-maintained. The lobby is elegant. The staff and concierge were very pleasant and helpful. My only complaint was the business-center's internet service (we didn't have a laptop with us). They charged too much (per 15-minutes) and the connection was not fast enough. Overall, we were very pleased, especially with the excellent deal we got on the room rate through Expedia.

This was the most comfortable and pleasant hotel I've ever stayed in. The staff was especially courteous and helpful. I slept like a baby.
