Hotel lobby is modern and clean. Front staff accommodating with storing luggage. Tea room for continental breakfast was pleasant. Quality of breakfast was excellent. Our room with 2 twin beds was one of the smallest I had ever seen. Bathroom was also small and did not have a sink. Had to go out into the room to wash hands!! Room was neither vacuumed nor dusted during the 3 day stay. I could understand sheets not being washed, but...

Convenient, great location, right next to Union Square, and walking distance to the BART, Cable Car, Muni Bus system and China Town. From this location, you do nott need a car to get around San Francisco, and pay for the high price of parking. The Hotel was clean and updated. The room was a little small, however, consistent for the area. The continental breakfast was a plus, simple yet adequate to start out your morning. We had a room with no view on an upper floor, however it was nice and quiet. The front desk was helpful.

Excellent location, very friendly staff, the wifi didn't work, but you can get free Internet around the corner in Union Square. For convenience at a great price, you can't beat this hotel!

I was given a very good room location, considering the price (low) and that it had twin beds. Excellent value and location in the city. The room had a window looking out on Powell St. Very clean and updated room. My girlfriend asked if I was taking my "sister", since we had a twin bed room. The front desk lady follows all rules, since we were not allowed to check-in until the required 3pm - not a minute sooner!

This hotel is affordable, clean and well maintained with extremely friendly and helpful staff people. The only "issue" that I had with it was that our Queen room was SUPER tiny! There was just enough room for two people to tightly maneuver around the bed. It could be tough if you have a lot of luggage, but overall, it's a REALLY great hotel, and I travel ALOT so I feel like a good judge. The parking is valet and it's additional, so just plan for that as well.

Hotel staff was more than helpful from storing our luggage, helping us locate everything we needed to setting up our ride to the airport. Room was small, but who's going to stay in the room with all of San Fran to see. Close to shopping!

The Stratford is in a great location only half a block from Union Square. Looks like a pretty safe neighborhood, too. The only thing was that our room was tiny, but for the price, location, and free breakfast, we would definitely stay there again!

The Stratford has a fairly good breakfast room that provides healthy food choices (warm muffins, cereal, cranberries, yogurt, fresh fruit). However, if sausage, eggs, and waffles are what starts your day you will not find them here.
