see all hotels in Union Square - Convention Center"Great Location and Friendly Staff"by i from Leeds, UK
This hotel is located right in the heart of the city, right next to the Powell St cable car stop, and next door to the BART station which is handy for getting around the city. Hotel itself is a bit tired and aged, but has been well modernised with flat screen TV and very comfortable beds. Would definitely recommend due to unbeatable location and helpful staff
"Excellent location"by R from Southborough, Kent
We enjoyed our stay at the Powell Hotel. Our room was clean and comfortable but also rather faded and in need of a make over. If we visit San Francisco in the future, we would definately stay there again as the location is great. It is right in the centre of the main shopping area and next to the famous cable car stop. Union Square is just a few minutes walk away. The staff were friendly and we weren't bothered about the cosmetic side of things.
"Stylish and very well-located"by S from Guildford
Very well-located hotel, right at the centre of the action at the junction of Market Street and Powell Street. The rooms are characterful and with nice fittings, although the hotel can very noisy with the cable cars going up and down outside, but along with the sounds of the buskers, you really feel the atmosphere of San Francisco.
