Description


Location. The Touchstone Hotel is a small intimate property in the historic theater district of San Francisco, Calif., just steps from Union Square and the center of shopping, entertainment and culture. The Curran Theatre and Geary Theater are directly across the street. Cable cars, Hilton Convention Center and Nob Hill are one block away. It is a five-minute walk to the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art, South of Market District (SoMa), Civic Center, Sony Metreon, Moscone Convention Center, Financial District and Chinatown. This location also offers easy access to the Bay Bridge and Golden Gate Bridge.
Hotel Features. Family owned and managed for over 50 years, The Touchstone Hotel is the blend of old-world convenience and small-world comfort. The famous David's Deli is located on site. The hotel provides business services, dry cleaning service and meeting facilities. Pets are not allowed at the property.

Guestrooms. All guestrooms are non-smoking and equipped with desks, cable television and direct-dial telephones with data ports and voice mail. Valet parking is available for a fee, with unlimited in/out access.

Expert Tip. Geary Theater, across the street from the hotel, is the oldest legitimate theater in San Francisco. Built in 1909, it is now home to the American Conservatory Theater.

excellent location and service

could not have been better! tvery friendly staff, and nice decoration in the room. comfortable beds.

Very very poor hotel

The only good thing about this hotel is the location. Everything else was a huge disappointment. Room was very small, and looked like from the 80s, but the bad part of the 80s, not the fun part. TV was small and veeeery old. Same for the bathroom, the sink (in the room but outside the bathroom) the elevator, the windows... It wasn't very clean either and the first day our room wasn't done. Staff was correct, but not near nice. BIG NO-NO!

Do not stay here!!!!

We had booked to stay for 4 nights. As soon as we got into our room we were trying to get in contact with the manager to leave. We had remnant food on our floor, which was not cleaned up even after we asked 3 times. The rooms nor the hotel were not hoovered in the days we stayed there. There was no loo roll holder, the shower curtain was filled with brown dirt, our room view was of rubbish that had been thrown our the window and had never been tidied away. Once we got around to seeing the Manager, he denied the fact he was the Manager even though the Staff told us he was.
