nice location, small but clean and a good place to sleep. Very small TV and no pay movies. no staff on after 8:30 on week nights or 10:00 on weekends and you have to pay $30 a day to valet your car you can bring it in and out but have to be back before the desk clerk leaves which as i said can be pretty early. But all in all good location and easy to public transport

Stayed here for pride weekend. The hotel's location (Union Sq) is very ideal, however it's better to stay near Union Sq because the hotel is not far from the not-so-nice Tenderloin area. The shower pressure is great! Hotel is near public trans. Overall, no bad experiences w/this hotel. It's simple, affordable and I'd stay there again.

It's located at the center of the city, what makes it very convinient because it's easy to get to all sightseeing, restaurants and so on. Service, comfort and cleanliness of the room is fine.

The staff at the hotel is very polite and helpful, but the rooms are very substandard. I could not sleep due to relentless noise from street traffic and from the TV in the room above mine. The room was extremely small; as was the 12" TV. I was unable to adjust the heater in the room at night and there was no air conditioner to cool the room during the day. Housekeeping failed to service my room during one day of my stay. Worst of all, the neighborhood is filthy and full of homeless panhandlers. I was constantly approached by them as I walked in and out of the property. I will NOT return there.

A great location & price could not quite offset the dirty/stained carpet, torn curtains and 13" TV. However the sheets and bathroom were clean. Next time I think we will spend another $10-20 a night to stay somewhere else.

I don't know how else to put it: this place is a dump. If there are no other rooms in S.F., it is, in fact, a place to sleep. But why bother?
