The hotel was an easy 5 min from the West Edmonton Mall where we had a ball at the waterpark. We also went to the Telus science museum and really enjoyed that. It was about 5-10 min from the hotel also.

The hotel was clean and comfortable. The only problem I had were late night arrivals that made a bunch of noise one night. Other than that, no complaints.

just dont order pizza from fliyers that get put in the door ??????.food in hotel was great....as well as the comp breakfest.

This is an older hotel and a little pricey. On the plus side though, the staff is great, as is the view (from the 17th floor). The complete kitchen made me wish I could have stayed longer. The location puts you right in the center of things.

I found the hotel to be older and dated. Found public areas to have thread bare carpets and in need of touch ups.

Beds were very comfortable; quality of the bedding was excellent; pillows were plentiful and quite well stuffed, contrary to many hotels I have stayed in the last couple of years. Staff were capable and courteous. We arrived more than an hour before advertised check-in time and were registered immediately.

The hotel is part of complex that includes restaurants, spa, dinner theater and bar & grill. It is located near the Edmonton West Mall, and not far from city center. The steak house in the complex is particularly good - has a nice selection of Canadian wines. Due to its proximity to the shopping mall, the hotel seems to get a lot of traffic from visitors coming into Edmonton for this purpose, as well as from business customers, who can readily access major highways into and around the city, including that leading to the international airport. Traveling to the parks, recreation areas and museums in and around the city from the hotel is also fairly easy. For these reasons, the hotel can serve as a good base from which to explore the city and conduct major shopping efforts.
