This hotel, which is in Mississauga, Ontario is only about 15 minutes from downtown Toronto. It would be worth checking into public transportation to Downtown Toronto. Public Parking in the downtown area was reasonable.

we didn't even get the right room we booked because they said they didn't have any of those rooms available even though we booked it 2 weeks in advance. also, their was a hair in the tub when we got there and we didn't even have a tv in the bedroom which it showed in the pictures. i was very disappointed with this hotel.

No wireless internet access in the room. Ethernet cable is required to access the internet. Hotel does not provide the cable. You can buy it from the a small store at the reception for $5. Better off taking one cable from home with you.

Toronto has a subway weekend day pass for two people for 9 bucks. So my girlfriend and I rode the subway around all day Saturday for just 9 bucks (friggin' sweet).

Nice, clean and comfortable rooms. Wish the continental breakfast had a little more variety. Overall, a very good place to stay for a reasonable price.

This is not an extremely special hotel, but for the price, it is very, very nice. We booked a special through Expedia, so it was extremely inexpensive for the quality of room. When we arrive, they upgraded us to a "deluxe" suite. The total size was about what you might see for a regular room at a Hampton Inn, but the space was very well used. We had a small bedroom with a wardrobe, low dresser and TV, a sitting room with a full-sized couch/convertible bed, a coffee table, another TV, and a L-shaped desk with ethernet hook-up for a computer. There was a small kitchenette, and a very nice bathroom with a whirlpool/shower combination. The whole hotel seemed very clean. I don't know if it was just our wing or the way the hotel was built, but it was very quiet. We were on the third floor overlooking the courtyard, with a view of a maple tree out the windows. The breakfast area was a short walk across the courtyard. We ate late every morning, so it was a little busy as we vacationers were all trying eat before closing. There was a lot to choose from, with a hot sweet dish and meat every morning, hot and cold cereal, bread, bagels, sweet rolls, a fruit, good coffee, juice, tea, milk, microwave and toaster. It was very convenient for us, very close to our relations. We used to stay at the Journey's End/Comfort Inn on Dixie and Mattheson, but I doubt my husband will ever let us stay anyplace but the Sandlewood from now on.

I rented a suite and the tv/computer was broken. I called the front desk and they sent down Maintaince to check it out. he said he would get a replacement. I called two more times over my stay and no one ever replaced the set. So I had no tv and computer.

This Hotel is OK, but the one problem I had was with the Airport Shuttle Service. I had an early morning flight and so I booked the shuttle for 5:30am, only to find in the morning that the shuttle hadn't been booked for me by the reception staff, and the next one wasn't until 6:15. There was no apology offered (in fact the early morning receptionist had very poor communication skills and seemed more annoyed with me for waking him up!). In this case I caught my plane because I always add time for hassles such as this, but had I been "cutting it fine" I would have been in trouble. Although this was the only problem encountered at this Hotel, I feel it was a pretty important one: At an airport hotel with a shuttle service, getting people to the airport on time is surely very important! So by all means stay at this very clean and comfortable hotel but when you book the shuttle, make sure you witness the receptionist actually making the booking for you, don't just take his/her word for it!
