excellent unique hotel

Lovely small hotel in convenient situation. Fantastic 3 course breakfast - friendly staff. No lift so need to carry luggage up the stairs although staff did offer their assistance. Our room was very spacious although not all rooms are the same size.

Brilliant hotel which more than lived up to its reputation.

I booked this hotel after checking it out on various websites. The hotel had been praised by many reviewers so I decided to book. The beakfasts were amazing, never two days the same. The staff were extremely courteous and helpful and nothing was too much trouble. The hotel, although classed as a bed and breakfast establishment, sets out several 'hors d'oevres' dishes for guests about 5pm each day which means that guests congregate in the library and chat about their day etc, over a glass of wine or some coffee or tea whilst nibbling at the various delicious delicacies. Participation is, of course, optional but a nice way of getting to know other guests. Thank you for your special Expedia price I will certainly recommend this hotel to anyone who is travelling to Victoria. It was a wonderful experience after being a guest in so many larger and impersonal hotels the previous week. Sheila (Edinburgh)

Friendly Staff, Excellent Breakfasts

My husband and I went to Victoria for a weekend in March and very much enjoyed our stay. We found the staff to be friendly and helpful. The chef was both creative and skilled. We enjoyed getting together with the other guests in the library for hors d'oeurves. We would definitely go back.
