Give this place a chance!

This hotel is within walking distance of everything. Only a 20 minute leisurly walk to the Empress Hotel where all the tour buses leave and up the block there is a market. There are two movie houses across the street and coffee shops within a block. Very conveniently located.

Short stay in Victoria

Good location in downtown Victoria, easy walking distance of everything, harbour, transport etc. Continental breakfast, the usual muffins and waffles, good coffee etc. Older style hotel, has seen better days. For a short stay, this is a relatively cheap hotel with basic facilities, clean rooms linen and towels, but in need of a makeover and a change of decor. Efficient reception staff.

you get what you pay for

For a short ie. 1 night stay and you are not looking for luxury this hotel will fit the bill. It is clean with none of the frills. A very good point in their favour - is that they were the only hotel on our holiday that included a contential breakfast which was greatly appreciated.

fine for price

The location was great for walking to the sights and restaurants. When the wi-fi was out for several hours they were rude and unhelpful. The breakfast had plenty of choices and overall the price fit the service. Because I like to skimp on the hotel cost and spend more on tourist attractions I would stay again. If I were looking to spend more time in a hotel room I might look for another place.

The Historic Dalton

It is not in the centre of the tourist attractions but is about a 2 block walk from the shopping district with great little markets and restaurants. A few blocks down this shopping strip you will find the harbour and most attractions.
