A good 3-star Hotel

Don't buy tourist tickets for the Tram, rather normal daily tickets work out cheaper. A tram route goes past the Hotel and close to the Main Square - ideal. And the Hotel is a short walk from a Beer Garden in the gardens overlooking the river/Old Town - even more ideal on the way back from a "hard" day's touring!

Information not updated

About the transport. Beware the ticket of a single journary for any public transport is either 18 or 26czk instead of the cheaper one (which is outside the prague area transporation fee)

very good value

The area is residential with lots of artists from the Art Academy nearby. Apart from the Letna Park (South of the Hotel) which dominates the City, it is worth exploring the other Park in Bubenec (North of the Hotel) and Troja Palace. It is worth taking a tour of the Art Nouveau Municipal House (OBecni Dum). A performance in the Smetana Hall was overpriced, the cheapest UNRESERVED seats being more expensive than the best seats for superb performances at the Estates Theatre and Prague State Opera.

Prague Spring

The hotel is located in a quiet part of the city but as keen walkers we found it was within walking distance (less that an hour) of all the main sights of the city. Five minutes takes you into the beautiful Letna Park with wonderful views and great beer garden. Walk through the Park and you reach the Royal Palace Gardens and Prague Castle.

A friendly little hotel very close to the Trams Stops

I stayed here with my wife and my parents. We had 2 rooms on the fifth floor. The rooms were had adequate space and were very clean. We had a buffet breakfast included. The choice was limited but food was fresh and there were some very nice bread and rolls available. The small hotel bar stayed open until 2 am and the staff there were very friendly. The bar prices were good value. Overall an excellent stay. The hotel was very close to the tram stop. One can get a Number 8 Tram right into town, only 2 or 3 tram stops away. I would recommend this hotel.

Excellent value for money!

Buy a Tram/Metro/Bus ticket for 1/3/5 days from the airport then take the bus 119, at the terminus transfer to tram 26 - there's a stop 100m from hotel. Not many restaurants take credit cards so be sure to take cash! Fab Italian restuarant about 1 block down from hotel - excellent food at very reasonable price.

Good but not central

This hotel was very reasonable and adequate. Close to trams for trips into Old Town and the Castle. One of our party was in a wheelchair, so this didn't help. Otherwise we could have walked into Old Town on 15 minutes. If you want to fall out of your hotel in to the action, this isn't the one, otherwise good value and recommended.
