Description

Housed in a carefully restored 18th century building, the Hotel Saint George is located in Prague's historic city centre, just one kilometre from Wenceslas Square. This five-storey hotel features 56 air-conditioned guestrooms, all of which include simple white decor with Biedermeier style cherry wood furnishings. All are equipped with bathrooms, cable television, minibars, direct-dial phones and safes.
Guests can start the day with a buffet breakfast in the Hotel Saint George's breakfast room, and drinks are available in the lobby bar, which features a winter garden. Guests can keep trim in the fully-equipped fitness centre and revitalize body and mind in the Swedish sauna (surcharge) and jetted tub. Staff on the 24-hour front desk can book sightseeing tours and parking is available nearby. Local attractions in Prague include the old town square (2.5 kilometres from the hotel), Charles Bridge (3 kilometres) and Prague Castle (4 kilometres). Good 3 Star Hotel

It was all I expected from a good 3 star hotel. One minor grumble was with the Air conditioning. I was unable to turn it down.

Good hotel and convenient position

the transport transfer tickets were great value to carry you around the sightseeing spots and to and from the airport. Pivovarsky Dum down the hill from IP Pavlova Metro LH side had great food and beer. Book if eating after eight as very popular.

Second Visit

On my second visit to Prague I had no hesitation in booking the Hotel St George as I had been impressed on my previous visit with the standards of the hotel for a reasonable price. Staff were again friendly and helpful and cleanliness is obviously a priority.Breakfasts were adequate and enjoyable. The hotel is not centrally situated but close to tram and metro stops so travel to the sights is easy.

Great Hotel Great Value

Restuarants around the hotel were cheaper than in the Old Town, and we found them better. Take Cedaz minibus from Airport and arrange your return journey then, at a reduced rate.

Good hotel at a good price

Excellent value for the money. Staff was extremely helpful and pleasant. The only complaints were: --The room was too warm and thermo didn't work. We had to open the window to cool down the room. --The hot tub in the spa was at a max of 30 degrees C instead of the normal 38-40. The staff said that was as high as the temp would go. All that said, we would definitely stay here again. BTW, breakfast was excellent.
