Don't even think about using public transportation without a valid ticket. The fine is exorbitant!

Good hotel for 3 star. Very convenient to City Centre. Rooms very spacy with lobby and bathroom, very clean, furnishings in good repair. Provides a useful service of buying tram tickets (less than 24 hour duration) at reception. Two small comments, lighting in the rooms is not suitable for reading unless bedside lamp used. Breakfast is not available prior to 8.15 am. Tea making in kitchen/breakfast room available 24 hours per day. Hotel 3 minutes walk from IP Pavlova A tram & underground stop. Hotel is 7 minutes walk from Wencelas square. There is a Tesco and local shops withinn a radius of 10 minute walk cost of items very good value

heck that there is no building going on, get a room at the back of the hotel as the front is on a main road with police car sirens disturbing your sleep most of the early morning and late at night

Conveniently located, but lots of noise specially at night when underground trains run seriously. Staff Cordial but not real friendly. Looks like a hostel. lots of flaws in my room, that although spacious, was missing curtains, blankets, pillows and drawers handles were broken or missing. remote control also broken. I give it a 1 star.

The Hotel San Marco is conveniently located within easy walking distance of Museum at St. Wenslas Square. A couple of minutes walk from nearest tram and tube station. Close to local bars, resturants and some shops. Breakfast plentiful but basic Continental style. The only issue is that the hotel is on a main road into the city so you will experience traffic noise.

Room was nice and warm (it was minus 10 C one night) and the bathroom was well appointed. One drawback was the bed which was a bit flimsy (I'm not slim!). The handrail on the stairs was not sufficient to lean on - but it just needed fixing. The lift was OK though.

Do not eat or drink in the tourist areas, you can go 10 minutes walk in any direction and find very nice local restaurants at half the price. If the people next to you are Czechs then you have found a good one.

The hotel room was clean. Our biggest problem was the bed. It was a lat bed and it broke twice on us. It was not very strong and we ended up sleeping on the floor for fear of breaking the bed. Before we left we looked up the website to see if they had a hairdryer and they did but u had to get it from reception and bring it back everytime....It should be advertised this way. I will not be going back!!!!!!

This hotel appears to be a renovated apartment building. The room is very large and also has an entrance way to hang coats in. The entrance way connected the bedroom to the bathroom. The bathroom was new, clean, included a bidet but did not include a hairdryer. A hairdryer could be borrowed from the front desk. The room was all tile and the tile had light damage. The furniture looked very new but the bed was disappointing. It was a double bed that was two mattresses put together in the same sheet cover. It sat on a cheap wooden frame and some of the boards would fall through if sat on to hard making a loud noise. The bed had two thin single European style blankets instead of one double sized one. The windows in the room were very large and only covered with a white cloth for blinds. The blinds were bad at keeping the light out. This did not matter as we were woken up early anyway by street noise particularly ambulances and police cars, particularly between 6 and 8 AM. The T.V was 14 inches and could not be shut off by the remote control. There was no minibar or refrigerator but beverages could be purchased at the front desk at a reasonable price. If your looking to save money, it may not a bad value, but bring your own sheets.
