see all hotels in North Fort Lauderdale"What a SHAME!"by A from Warwick on Eden
First the good news..Pelican Grand Beach Hotel occupies an idylic spot, right on the beach. The breakfasts are wonderful. Now the bad news. The rooms smell foisty, private functions prevent hotel guests from using certain facilities, drinks are hugely expensive and the bar staff are the most obnoxious abrupt and unfriendly people ever to have walked this earth! Two lovely people (some consolation Alma the breakfast Maitre de and Vladar the breakfast waiter. Do not order tea or coffee - the water is not heated to boiling - if you want a cuppa - take a travel kettle and boil your own!All in all if all you want is scenery book it - if you want good service from all but a couple of people - forget it!
"Best Hotel experience I can remember"by S from Hornchurch
I'd researched practically every hotel in Ft Lauderdale and I ended up choosing this on a recommendation. The ocean view suite was amazing. The location was great although I would recommend a car. The private beach was all sand and cleaned every morning. The ocean water was warm and crystal clear. I had fish nipping at my heals as I floated. The hotel threw in complimetary breakfast which I hadn't booked. All the staff were polite and friendly. I'm seriously considering flying over for a week and not moving from the hotel
