NOT Impressed

We have been traveling around Provence/French Riviera for the past 2 weeks and this was probably one of the poorer quality hotels we've been in. The location was probably the only redeeming quality. NO porter came out to help with the luggage, the reception was very cold and the porters had bad attitudes. I was told to go to the reception one day because my "credit card's details were lost". When I went downstairs, the lady at the reception had a "not my problem, too bad" attitude. Come on, this is THEIR hotel, THEIR system, why the nastiness? When we checked out, we left the luggage at the porters and went back to pick it up after lunch. I asked the way to the toilette and the porter told me to go OUTSIDE the hotel to use a public portable toilet on the beach!!! The decor was outdated (very 70's, probably the last time it was decorated), the room had a musty smell, and the overall feeling was that of a seedy hotel... I would NOT come back to this hotel.

Great Hotel Close to the Beach!

This is the third time i've stayed here, and once again, i've had a wonderful time staying in Cannes in this hotel. The staff are very friendly and are often as helpful as they can be, I often found all the staff to be smiling (something which is rare in some hotels).

needs immediate renovation

Check in at the desk was friendly and with a smile. Concierge was un attentive. Overall condition of the hotel is very poor. Hallways, closets and especially the carpets are in terrible condition. Nice bathroom ammenities and flat screen TV however the hotel is in immediate need of renovation. Low value for money.

Given a room next to construction

We upgraded our room this year to have a balcony. I was never able to use it as construction on the hotel was right out my window with drills all day from 8:30 until 5:pm (everyday except on weekends.)We booked this room for the dutyfree convention paying 3400.00 for the week you would think the hotel would not have been doing construction during that time as the hotel was full. They also started working on the hallways tearing off the wallpaper and talking in the hallways early in the morning!!!!BUt it seems in France they don not care about service or comfort. A miserable experience.

Same since 1989

I have been staying in this hotel since 1989 each year when I go to Cannes. Not much has changed but some of the people. The staff are always friendly which is nice. Rooms are a bit old and hangers in closet are an upleasant experience(I guess someone was taking them?)Other than that, all else is ok.
