Description


Location. The Hotel Canberra is located in Cannes, France, 200 metres from the promenade by the sea, and 400 metres from the old town.

Cannes' hidden gem

We were looking for a smaller, more friendly hotel, without worrying about the view and this was an excellent choice. Our room was refurbished, clean and comfortable. The hotel is clearly upmarket (but then most of Cannes is) and the service is very good. There is a (small) pool, a fitness suite (a couple of treadmills and cross trainers) and a sauna. A satellite TV is also provided with a small number of non-French channels. The basic price does not include food, which is quite expensive, but then you realise that all of Cannes is expensive and the hotel prices were competitive with local restaurants. Overall, it was a most enjoyable stay, and formed a good base for a relaxing break.
