The Hotel Du Golf Barriere, just two hours from Paris, France, is located in Deauville, a favorite destination for fashionable Parisians. A five-minute drive from the most exclusive French seaside resort, the hotel affords wonderful panoramic views of the sea and the Normandy landscape. The hotel is one hour from the historic World War II landing beaches and Mont St. Michel and 15 kilometers from Honfleur, where 19th century painters were inspired by the light along the estuary.

The Hotel Du Golf Barriere is surrounded by Tom Simpson's 27-hole golf courses and is 15 kilometers from the Saint Julien Golf Barrière. Golf Barrière de Deauville was designed in 1928 by Simpson, a famous English architect. This 27- hole course has outstanding views of the sea and Normandy countryside.

Despite a high level of difficulty due to slippery fairways, fast greens and several bunkers, the high quality of these courses is suitable for any handicap. During the summer, guests can relax over buffets and barbecues at the outdoor pool while making the most of the region's mild, soothing climate. Indoor entertainment is nearby at the Casino Barrière where guests can enjoy theater, cinema and games. At Le Green, guests can sink into an armchair with a refreshing drink while they watch golfers meet the challenge of the 18th hole. Guests can dine at the hotel restaurant, La Pommeraie, for breakfast and dinner. On Saturday evenings, La Pommeraie hosts musical entertainment or dinner dances, as well. At the Hôtel du Golf Barrière, children can play in indoor and outdoor play areas, play tennis, or take golf lessons.

Dining

La Pommeraie - Serving traditional regional cuisine from a seasonal à la carte menu. The high-ceilinged room with crystal chandeliers is decorated in an Art Deco style, with huge bay windows looking out over the surrounding countryside and to Deauville. A children’s menu and an extensive wine list are also available. Open daily for breakfast and dinner, with musical entertainment on Saturday.

Le Green Bar - After a tough round of golf, guests can sink into an armchair and unwind in this friendly, relaxed bar. Décor is Art Deco and the view is of the 18th hole to Trouville in the distance.

Recreation

A golf club is located 100 metres from the Hotel Du Golf Barriere, which guests can use at a discounted rate. The club boasts an 18-hole championship golf course with wooded areas and sea views. The course has a par of 71 and a handicap of 24 is required for men and 28 for women. Those with less golfing experience can make use of the 9-hole course or practice their swing at the driving range. Professional tuition is also available on request (fee).
