This was my second visit to the Kyriad Prestige Hotel in Lyon. The hotel is satisfactory for its rating and is well placed for the Metro and as a base for sightseeing. The room was clean and serviced daily and staff on the desk speak reasonable English. The only problem was the rather ineffective air conditioning which made virtually no difference whenthe temperature was in the eighties. I will return to this hotel in the future.

The hotel is in a good location with a ten-minute walk to the main square and restaurant area. It was somewhat difficult to locate and the underground parking garage (8 euro) was a challenge to get in an out. The room was clean but the air conditioner did not put out cold air. The queen size bed was very comfortable. The breakfast buffet (12 euro) was good with scrambled eggs.

Overall the hotel met our needs but was not particularly remarkable. The rooms were small and the a/c didn't work all that well (which was common at other locations we viisted in France).

Over night stop on our way to a ski resort and it was absolutely fine. Room was clean, quiet and slept our family of 4 well. We didn't try the breakfast or any of the other hotel facilities - or even go out and explore Lyon. It really was just somewhere to rest our heads. The carparking was an experience, very very tight.

use the choccy market around the corner from the hotel rather than dipping into the rooms mini bar

The hotel staff were friendly even though they spoke to me in French only although I would presume they speak English. The room was smaller than expected but clean. I liked the fact that it was very central, just by crossing the bridge you are in the centre. For me it was perfect location as it is central yet on a quiet road.
