Take a boat trip along the Seine as its a beautiful way to see the heart of Paris. Be on the Eifel tower during sunset. You get the views with the daylight and the stunning beauty of Paris during twilight.

Great location, friendly staff, clean though small rooms, was great value for money; though with all the bakeries literally within 2 blocks-do not have breakfast at hotel, was average at best...

Advise booking return to the airport early on - we found it was too late to book the minibus and had to get a taxi.

Museum pass is a wise investment as is the multi-pass for transportation. If there for a short time, use the subway to get around quickly. I printed out sheets of the sites we wanted to see so we knew which stop to use. Plus the information included the days when the places were closed.

Located at Bvd Montparnasse entrance to metro is a great takeaway place for coffee (not usual in Paris) and sandwich/croissants -- a super bargain for cash and carry breakfast or lunch and delicious food.

Buy a carnet of Metro/Bus tickets it's so easy to get around the city especially from the hotel.

The reception staff at teh Hotel were really helpful and very friendly which always helps when you have limited knowledge of French. The Hotel is on the main tourist bus routes which helped us get about a City that we did not know well at all. Also, there were several excellent restuarants close by that were of a high quality and of a resonable price. The room had the quietest air conditioning I have ever known.
