Description


Location. The modern Le Meridien Etoile hotel is located in Paris, France, opposite Le Palais de Congres convention centre. The Arc de Triomphe and the Champs Elysees are 800 metres away, while the Eiffel Tower is one-and-a-half kilometres away.
Hotel Features. The nine-storey Le Meridien Etoile hotel features a jazz-inspired interior design. There is a gift shop on site. The 24-hour front desk and concierge can provide information on sightseeing and babysitting services. The onsite 'open studio' has wireless Internet access and an LCD television.

Breakfast (surcharge) and lunch is served in L Terrasse du Jazz, in the hotel's interior atrium garden. Guests can dine on traditional French cuisine at L'Orenoc restaurant. The Lionel Hampton Jazz Club has a bar and hosts live concerts every evening. Le Meridien Etoile hotel also offers 24-hour room service.

Le Meridien Etoile hotel has a conference and business centre with secretarial services and banqueting facilities. Wireless Internet access is available in public areas.

Hotel guests are given discounted access to a fitness centre located across the street.

Guestrooms. Le Meridien Etoile hotel's 1,025 air-conditioned guestrooms are decorated in a contemporary style. Rooms have satellite televisions, large desks, dial-up Internet access, minibars and safes. Rooms also feature small sitting areas and have views of the city or the inner courtyard. Marble bathrooms have bath/shower combinations.

Expert Tip. The Palais de Congres, opposite the hotel, is also home to L'Atrium du Palais, a designer shopping mall, and Angelina's tea room, which claims to serve the best hot chocolate in Paris.

Please note: La Terrasse du Jazz will be closed 10th-14th April and 3rd-28th July. L'Orenoc will be closed 17th-21st May and 29th July-27th August. La Terrasse du Jazz will be open every day when L'Orenoc is closed, and L'Orenoc will be open every day La Terrasse is closed. These dates are subject to change.

Renovation notice
The hotel will be carrying out renovation work to two floors until the end of August 2008. All disturbance to guests will be kept to a minimum. Please contact the hotel for further details.

From Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport (CDG):
Distance to Le Meridien Etoile hotel is 30 kilometres, approximately 25 minutes' drive.

Getting there. RER line B trains run from the airport to central Paris. Line B3 (Roissyrail) departs from Terminal 2 and runs to Denfert-Rochereau, St Michel, Chatelet les Halles and Gare du Nord. Single tickets cost 7.85 EUR and journey time is about 25 minutes. Roissybus shuttles run from all three terminals to Place de l'Opera. Buses depart every 15 minutes, and single tickets cost about 8 EUR. Air France shuttles stop at the Arc de Triomphe. Prices are all subject to change.

Getting around. Le Meridien Etoile hotel is on Boulevard Gouvion Saint-Cyr in the 17th district. Paris is easy to explore on foot, and there is a reliable, cheap metro (underground), which runs throughout the city and the suburbs. Buses are a great way to see the city's sights. Tickets can be purchased from bus drivers or from the machines in metro stations. Regional RER trains run to destinations in the surrounding area. Taxis are available in the streets, but can be hard to find at busy times. Advance booking is recommended. The hotel has a secure underground car park (surcharge).

Driving directions. From Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport:
Follow the highway (A1) towards Paris.
At the fork indicating Paris West take the beltway.
Go west to Porte d'Orleans, exit at Porte Maillot.
Proceed to Boulevard Gouvion Saint-Cyr to the hotel.

It's a beautiful hotel in the center of Paris! Very friendly staff, lovely concierge!! Would definately recommend it..

Le Meridien Met Expectations and More

There is a shopping mall directly across the street from the hotel. The food stand in the neighborhood were great fun and a source of local cheeses, breads, olives, etc. A wide variety of shops, restaurants, pastry shops are all located in easy walking distance.

Tired rooms, but good location

Try a steak at L'Entrecote - it was filled with more locals than tourists....

Great Hotel - Great Service

I took my daughter to Paris as a sweet sixteen birthday present and we stayed at Le Meridien Etoile. We were both extremely pleased with the hotel, the service and the help. Everyone was so gracious and helpful. Our room was very comfortable and quiet. I would definetely stay there again and would recommend it to others.
