A short guide to Financial District
The Bankenviertel near the main train station has the offices of many financial institutions, most of the city's hotels, and a small red light district on Taunus Strasse. The Opera House and Schauspiel theatre are on Willy-Brandt-Platz and the English Theatre is on Kaiser Strasse. Centrally located. Very close to main train station. Brown water lowed from shower taps. Street is full of beggars and dangerous looking individuals. Very good Austrailian bar & restaurant directly across the road from hotel. Highly recommend a visit.

"Good option for reasonable short stay that is steps away from the train station"by K from London
I stayed here for one night in Dec 2008, as I had a business meeting in Frankfurt, then an early morning train departing the next morning. The hotel seemed pretty clean and safe and the reception was very helpful. The room was clean and comfortable and a decent size. I didn't venture out at night or have breakfast there, as there are better options at the train station. There is a some kind of adult nightlife club on the corner near the hotel, but I guess you get some of those dodgy places near any train station. This place was fine for a short stay if you need to be near the station.

"close to the train station but"by M from US
in the immediate area of numerous peep shows and less than discrete sex shops. Not a place I would stay for more than 1 night or with kids but not too seedy either.
