Description


This city-centre hotel is set main railway station in the centre of the German city of Hamburg, three kilometres from the harbour. Hamburg International Airport is 10 kilometres away.
Hotel Features. This hotel is located in a six-storey period property from 1906, built in the typical style of Hamburg. Complimentary newspapers are on offer in the lobby, there is wireless Internet access in the public areas, and multilingual staff at the 24- hour front desk can provide the use of a safe-deposit box and concierge services. The free business centre has a printer and compu ter.
A continental buffet breakfast is available at the hotel (surcharge).

Guestrooms. The 100 guestrooms have neutral decor and functional furnishings. All are equipped with cable television, wireless Internet access, desks, direct-dial phones and clock radios.

Expert Tip. The lively nightlife of the Reeperbahn, 4.5 kilometres from the hotel, may not be to the taste of everyone; it is decidedly not family entertainment. But for those that like to party, it's the place to go.

From Hamburg International Airport (HAM):
Distance to Hotel Fürst Bismarck is 10 kilometres, approximately 30 minutes' drive.

Getting there. Taxis from the airport to the hotel cost approximately 25 EUR, and journey time is around 30 minutes. Yellow Airport Express buses run every 20 minutes from Terminals One and Four to Hamburg's central station (Hauptbahnhof), which is 10 metres from the hotel. Single tickets cost 5 EUR and the journey takes 30 minutes. The number 110 bus runs to Ohlsdorf station (for the U-Bahn and S-Bahn) every 10 minutes. Subway line U1 and rail lines S11 and S1 run from this station. Private shuttle services travel to destinations across Hamburg. Prices are all subject to change.

Getting around. Hamburg's public transport system (HVV) includes underground trains (U- Bahn), rapid transit trains (S-Bahn), harbour ferries, and buses. Daily tickets entitle the user to unlimited travel on all public transport, including the airport bus (number 110). The centre is easy to explore on foot.

Very nice and friendy Hotel and Area.

Take the bus and harbor boat tour.

Noisy and Old

This hotel is very noisy and old. The walls and ceilings are as thin as paper and you hear everything from the people upstairs to the people beside you. This was not a very good experience. And it is located at the main rail station on the border of one of the red light districts.

Recommended for a business week or visit to Hamburg

If you like me only want a coffe and a sandwich walk over to the train stationand grab it there it is cheaper than the 12? charged at the Hotel

Very Poor Hotel

Minatur Wunderland is amazing even if you're not a great fan of model trains. The harbour tour gives some great close up views of the massive container ships.

brilliant location

If travelling by train the staff in the station were great and you can purchase tickets for parties of up to 5 at a special rate.
