Buying a family bus pass is great value for money because you can use the ticket once activated on any bus at anytime in Dublin and beyond. If you don't activate it the ticket does not expire so you can use it on another day. Buy a couple and only activate them on the day you want to use it. You can get these tickets at the airport before you board the buses to where ever you want to go.

We stayed in a family room at the Green Isle for one night mid week in August 2008. The room was large and comfortable although some of the furnishings had seen better days. The reception area was impressive but other areas were best described as tatty. We found the staff to be friendly and helpful. Our room overlooked the entrance area and during the night there was a lot of noise from people singing and shouting outside. There is a main road at the back of the hotel but this may have been quieter than our room! Overall, it was good value for money but could do with a bit of sprucing up.

Wont do if Dublin is your main reason for going. Bit isolated for on foot access for places to eat. Very little nearby. Cigs and alcohol very expensive buy before you go.

everything brilliant except that our room was looking out over the motorway and it was very noisy at times, otherwise i will stay again but ask for a different room as our friends had a great room at the other side of the hotel.

We had two excellent meals at THE CHURCH and FRITZI'S respectively. A little pricey, but fine ingredients well prepared and both with great atmosphere.

Loved the hotel but found it to be a little awkward getting into the city centre as you always needed to get a shuttle to the luas.

Located some way outside Dublin centre but this suited me fine. Dinner is quite expensive with the strength of the Euro/UK£ but staff are very chatty and attentive.
