Good Location

The Isaacs hotel is in a good central location. The public spaces are to a good modern standard although my room was a little tired. My room faced a central courtyard and therefore overlooked several other rooms, therefore not very pirvate unless you shut the curtains. I didn't complain as it was kept very clean and it was only a place to lay my head at night. The staff are very helpful and friendly. The breakfast was good but overpriced, lots of cafes around offer the same for around half the price. Overall considering the cost I would recomend if you need a central base and don't intend to spend too much time inside.

Excellent Location-Walk everywhere!!

Excellent location, write across from the bus station. So easy to walk to all Dublin's main sites. Temple bar 15 mins, O'connel Street 10 mins.. Room was a little hot and some times noisy due to the hostel near by.. Would stay again..

Fantastic

Hotel was great, nice friendly effecient staff. There is a great resturant in the hotel and the food was delicious. Its close to the city centre we walked to and from it everytime and its a nice walk. The onlybad thing about the hotel is the floor creeks alot so every morning we heard the neigbours creeking and room service creeking. Otherwise great hotel wil def go bak there.

Definatelt going back!

Brilliant Hotel. Great and friendly reception staff (at all hours). We did have a small issue with noise on one night but the reception manager willingly/kindly moved us the next night to a quieter room. Location is perfect - very central and the main bus station is just opposite. Located a short walk from a few lovely restaurants and a fun Irish bar with friendly locals and live music every night. Also only 10mins walk to main shops/cinema and only 5 mins from River Liffey. I am definately going back to this hotel!

Good overall but had a noisy room

Nice hotel, good clean and cheap but we had a room above the club on a Saturday night (we were on the first floor) so it was quite loud and I had to use ear-plugs to get to sleep and could still hear a bit of techno/dance music. But I was so tired I fell asleep anyway with no trouble. Might not be ideal for light sleepers though!

Very noisy

Our room appeared to be over a nightclub with music till 2am. We also had the pleasure of being right next to the trains and could hear the buses and taxes across the road. Not much fun when your 8 year old cannot get to sleep.

Nice hotel that is well positioned

This hotel was a pleasant surprise. I wanted a place to stay that wasn't extortionately priced, yet was reasonably close to the main areas of Dublin and accessible. The Isaacs is opposite the bus station, so is incredibly easy to get to from the airport, and is only a ten minute walk from the main shopping areas! It is nicely decorated and though the room was relatively small it was perfectly adequate for our needs. Our TV was only showing black and white, and when we mentioned this at reception we had a knock on the door within five minutes! Ten minutes after being at reception, we had a replacement TV and the matter was sorted! Very good service. The pizza/ pasta deal in the restaurant was good - just under ten euro per main before seven thirty. As Dublin is very expensive to eat in, this was a good price. I'd recommend the pesto chicken pasta! Well worth a stay, this hotel met our requirements and actually exceeded them in some areas. As for the sight-seeing in Dublin, the main points to note are that a lot of the attractions close early and have even earlier cut-offs for last admissions (three thirty in some places), so plan your pass for longer than you'd expect. And the bus routes are not very easy to figure out unless you know exactly where you want to go and are able to ask for specific route timetables.

Reasonable Value For Money

Although reasonable standard of rooms and service, we encountered the same problems other visitors seems to have suffered, i.e. noise from the adjacent nightclubs. On the first night we asked to be moved from our first floor room due to the noise from the disco below on the ground floor, the staff were very understanding and found us a room on the third floor, which we then kept for the duration of our stay. Stay here by all means, but do ask at check-in about the amount of noise you will encounter in your given room.
