Superb service

From the moment of arrival to the moment of departure the hotel and staff lived up to their reviews. The room was superb and the staff were friendly and helpful - without being obsequious. Location was great with all amenities only moments away. The restaurant menu was not to our taste but with 100's of eateries just outside the front door this was no problem.

Great location

Use the hop-on-hop-off bus system to get a great tour and visit all significant attractions. Book of Kells within walking distance. Visit Shanahan's restaurant 1/2 block away. Great meal and a tour of US president memorabilia, like JFK's rocker etc.

Wonderfully Attentive

The hotel staff was wonderfully attentive and responsive. Rooms were very comfortable. Only issue was we felt the morning breakfast did not meet the standards of the hotel...buffet food was cold and the staff very slow even by European standards not worth the price tag.

disaster

The room was small but comfortable. The problem was that the rooms across the corridor were being renovated and the smells of paint stripper were intolerable, causing irritation of the eyes and tightness of the chest. The management were very un helpfull in resolving the problem. I would not stay in this hotel again. Poor value for the cost.

Weekend in Dublin - the perfect location

Other than expensive shops Dublin by day had only a handful of attractions for us, which is fine if you are just there for the weekend. If your stay is any longer I would recommend taking the train along the coast and seeing real Ireland.

Very central

Hotel is right in the centre of Dublin and 5 minutes to Temple Bar.Hotel Bar is quite smart but expensive but then so is the whole of Dublin. The Luis tram system is directly out side hotel and is worth a run to the other end goes right through Dublin. Hotel is Boutique style but nothing flash.

Not impressed

We traveled throughout all of Ireland and this was the most expensive hotel and the least impressive. The room was small, took two calls to get ice brought to our room (ever heard of ice machines?), paid for valet and yet when we needed our car to leave for the airport at 8am on Sunday we had to retrieve the car ourselves. All other hotels included breakfast, this one did not despite the hefty price we paid for two nights. The only good thing about this hotel was the location.
