All rooms includeCadenabbia may lack the cachet of some more fashionable neighbouring resorts, but its agreeably sedate hotels enjoy views no less appealing from their vantage points above the Tremezzina waterfront. Here the lake is at its widest point with regular ferry services to Bellagio and Varenna. Long favoured by the British, its Anglican church dates from 1891. The lakeshore lido has a pleasant terrace café.

The hotel was perfect location, right on the water and across from Bellagio. We had a room with a balcony over-looking the water which was magnificent. Also the breakfast in the morning was very lovely.
"Overall impression poor"by P from Kent
Indifferent service together with apalling food. Star rating incorrect- 2 stars possibly 3!
"Italy's star rating is questionable if this hotel really is 4 stars!"by v from Geneva
I was really looking forward to our stay on Lake Como and as we drove north from Milan the one thing most on my mind was being able to jump into the pool for a swim. Unfortunately when we got there we realised that the pool was not the most desirable - the ground was bumpy, the walkway uneven and the loungers/ umbrellas simply looked damp and dirty. Inside the hotel looks like it has been renovated cheaply, trying to mimic a 'posh' hotel. The reception staff weren't terribly helpful, although the bar and restaurant staff were; the breakfast fare was cheap and not the most enjoyable; internet connection (extremely slow) can only be gained downstairs through the one hotel computer (which you need to pay to use); despite the fact that almost 99% of the people staying there were english speaking there were no english tv channels; at night the rooms are noisey (the lake view, which you pay extra for, also means you get to hear all the traffic on this busy main road), which is not helped by having wooden floors in all the rooms; the paint in the bathroom shower was flaking and the chambermaid didn't knowck before entering the room. All in all I would avoid this hotel!
"A good base for touring Lake Como region"by S from Warwick, UK
Recently refurbished, the Grand Hotel is situated in a prominent lakeside position with excellent views from the sun terrace, and room balconies. It is adjacent however to a busy, noisy main road which detracts somewhat from the ambiance at times. The hotel provides few services, like newspapers, and service in the restaurant was disappointing, even if the rooftop location was stunning. A car is needed to tour the Lake Como region, though boat connections are excellent. The pool was well used but rather small.
