This Best Western is clean and comfortable (which is not always the case in this city). The breakfast buffet is decent too. It's a little tricky to find coming out of the train station, but still relatively close.

Like other tourist areas in Europe, be cautious of venders hawking their wares. At two restaurants, there was an imposed gratuity regardless of service. Largely near the train station. Also, be leary of people wanting to help you at the train station with your backage. They appear to be official employees and afterwards try to insist you give them a tip of 5-10 euros. Overall, Naples was a very nice place to visit.

You can access the best shopping and eating from this restaurant. The train station is 1 block away, great to access Mt Vesuvius and Pompeii.

This hotel was perfect for our needs - a school journey for 15 people to see Pompeii and other places. It was close to the Circumvesuviana station and a short walk away from the National Archaeological Museum. The hotel was very comfortable, modern and clean. The staff were wonderful and made our 16 year old boys very welcome. We would definitely book again.

for trip to pompeii, buy a ticket for ?4 which lasts for 12 hours, allows you to take trams, buses and tube. alot of walking around site involved, so go prepared.

Be careful, but don't let the rumours put you off what you want to do. We never encountered any problems and had a great time. Pompeii and Herculaneum are fantastic, but go on the Circumvesuviana railway rather than booking a trip. The trips are very expensive and the train cost 5 euros return.

Obviously, see Pompeii/Vesuvius/Herculaneum. Watch out for the traffic, and take care of yourself!

The hotel was very clean with a good service. Staff very helpful, area not great but Naples is not the best place for a holiday. Ok if you stay there for one night.
