Location. Positioned on the Italian Riviera along the Gulf of Tigullio is the Grand Hotel Bristol, surrounded by hills and coast in Rapallo, Italy. Santa Margherita Ligure is located within five kilometers, and Portofino is nine kilometers from the hotel. Hotel Features. Constructed in 1908, the Grand Hotel Bristol is graced with two large domes and a Liberty-style façade, surrounded by camellias, magnolias and cluster-pines. Chamberlain Restaurant serves international and regional fare, and Le Cupole serves Ligurian specialties from a roof terrace overlooking the Gulf. Buffet-style breakfasts are provided, and during summer months are served on a seaside terrace under large, cream-colored sunshades. A piano bar and poolside bar provide live music and cocktails nightly. The hotel's conference center seats up to 135 people and is equipped with wireless Internet access. The Mosaico Posidonia Health and Fitness Centre offers a heated and partially covered sea-water pool surrounded by an expansive sundeck. Turkish baths, a spa tub, sauna and gym are also available.
Guestrooms. Private balconies look out onto the Portofino promontory, Gulf of Tigullio, Rapallo marina or the gardens. Liberty-style guestrooms include dial-up Internet access and satellite television. Room service and a minibar are available. Turndown service is provided.
Expert Tip. A seaside footpath takes guests into the town of Rapallo, where medieval sits abound, including Castello sul Mare (Castle-on-the-Sea), the church of St. Francis Assisi and the Tower of the Fieschi.

Minimal yet comfortable
Friendly service. Clean rooms (and hotel throughout).
Good standard for breakfast. Amazing view. Slight disappointment was additional fee for gym and sauna. Also, sauna could have been open later.
Overall, recommended. Excellent.

Gorgous Hotel
Great pool overlooking the sea. Lovely position outside of the main town. Great food - but expensive. Views were amazing. Lovely atmosphere. Clean and comfortable room. Love to go back.
