The Hotel Executive is a charming, restored 1920s' hotel, which features its original façade and is set in the 500 metres from the Villa Borghese and two kilometres from the Spanish Steps in Rome. The 53 Guestrooms are vibrantly decorated with ecru, orange and bright blues complemented by dark walnut furniture with glass finish. All include balconies with views of the city or hotel grounds. Taxis to the centre are readily available, but take a licensed metered taxi only. An airport surcharge is payable. Rome's efficient integrated transportation system includes buses, trams, subway (metro) and suburban trains. Tickets should be bought before boarding and are available from ATAC ticket machines and all tobacconists. The city centre is easily negotiated on foot. Traffic in Rome is often busy and chaotic so driving is not generally recommended.
