Description


Location. The modern Pinewood Hotel Rome is located in Rome, Italy, overlooking the Sacchetti Woods. The hotel is within six-and-a-half kilometres of Vatican City. Rome Fiumicino Airport (FCO) is 22 kilometres from the hotel.
Hotel Features. Pinewood Hotel Rome is a red- brick building with plants spilling over its balconies and terraces, which look across the city and the Sacchetti pine wood. Glass doors lead into the large relaxing lobby, with its marble floor, beamed ceiling, potted plants and sofas covered in leopard-skin-style fabric. The complimentary 24-hour parking garage provides valet parking. Concierge staff at the 24-hour front desk can provide tour assistance.

The hotel's restaurant serves traditional Italian cuisine for lunch and dinner, and a complimentary continental breakfast. The large windows look out over the nearby wood, and the bar has both barstools and sofas for cosy evening drinks.

The hotel has various meeting and conference rooms, banqueting facilities, business centre, secretarial services and Internet access in public areas (surcharge).

The Pinewood Hotel Rome has its own spa tub. Guests are offered complimentary entry to a nearby fitness centre.

Guestrooms. The Pinewood Hotel Rome's 80 soundproofed guestrooms have traditional decor with pink linens and floral-print wallpaper. All rooms have air- conditioning, satellite television and opening windows.

Comfortable stay at the Pinewood Hotel

My partner and I enjoyed our stay at The Pinewood Hotel. Room was comfortable but a little small. The empty mini fridge, air conditioning, power shower and safe were welcomed features. Staff were very helpful - gave excellent map of city, a booklet of available tours (with pick up at hotel included), booked tours for us on request, packed us a breakfast-to-go when leaving hotel early on day tours. Breakfast was fine - tea, coffee, fruit juices, breads, ham, cheese, yogurt and cereals. Only possible disadvantage is that the hotel is a 10 minute walk from the metro station. This may make it unsuitable for some. There is a bus stop outside hotel but we never used this service as we were happy to walk to the metro. We felt very safe in the hotels neighbourhood. Cornelia is not a pretty town and does not have many attractions, however, it's very easy to get into the heart of Rome from here.
