2 mins walk from Piazza San Marco, 5 mins from the vaporetto launches. Could hardly be better situated. Good sized, comfortable and clean rooms. Decent breakfast. Excellent desk staff. Only small gripe is that the promised WiFi in the rooms wasn't available - it was avaiable in the lounge but was on the expensive side - 10 Euros for 60 mins. A pinprick compared to the overall value of the hotel though. Highly recommended. If only London had value like this...

The instalations are very good, very clean. Near the piazza and restaurants. Its a place that i recomend to stay for leisure.

Take The Water Bus from The Marco Polo Airport to St. Marks Square. We also took it to The Cruise Ship Terminal. It is a great way to see the Sights of Venice. You can hop on and off at different stops.

TIP = keep costs down use the mini supermarket 200m away. Turn right out of the hotel, walk 50m, turn right under a square old lamp, 100m (over a bridge), turn left at the Ratti hardware store, shop is 50m on right.

Great location for shopping around St. Marks. For those that like to shop, you can shop and make a quick dash back to the hotel to drop off your purchases before going back out to shop some more. Try to get up early and beat the crowds.

Hotel is in a great central position with easy walking access to all the main sites. Staff were really friendly and helpful. Rooms were fine and bathrooms looked brand new.

There are two trattorias close to the hotel, on the way back to St Mark's Square, with awnings, one red and one black, that have good lasagna, pizza, and spaghetti with friendly service. Be aware that Coke and Diet Coke is extremely expensive...around $15-22 per glass with no refills! Get the house wine that is cheaper and better anyway! Even a simple lunch or dinner will run about $40, and that's no salad or dessert b/c the dollar is currently so weak. The portions are not huge either.

Nice clean average hotel close to centre of Venice. The room 307 was very small and not really value for money.
