Very good hotel with helpful and English speaking staff. The room (a family room) was very large, modern and well maintained with brilliant view of the canal. The hotel restaurant was the only let down - very expensive and only average quality food... best to eat out.

The 72 hour travel passes that can be purchased at the airport were a good buy. You can use the vaporatto to do a water / canal tour of Venice, as well as get around on a daily basis. OK for use on the no 5 bus to and from the airport. Expect to get lost at least once, but it is such fun.

Close to the Jewish Ghetto, a few canals away from stores and restaurants. Ask for a canal view room and watch the boats go by. Choose restaurants nearby instead of near San Marco.

Knowing about the water taxi was a boon for anyone who walks down to the main sqare, San Marco & is too tired to walk back.

Nice and clean and in an area just outside of the hustle and bustle but within walking distance of everything. Hotel staff were not too friendly but then it is classed as a city hotel I suppose. Breakfast wasn't replenished very readily and the menu for dinner was expensive. Go out to one of the nearby restaurants.

Although the hotel is a little walk from some of the main attractions it is worth it. It is so peaceful and calm and the staff are friendly and helpful. The private canal access makes travelling to and from the hotel easy. It is the perfect romantic setting for any couple.

Within a few minutes walk ther are three or four very good local restauraunts providing good value for money. Many local residents were there so I took that as a good sign.

We stayed at the hotel on a Wednesday night, since the cost of a room on that night seems to be almost half that on any other nights- so we were able to stay in a 4-star hotel for less than many 2-star hotels! The hotel is in a non-touristy part in north Venice, but it's only a 15-20 minute walk to the Rialto bridge (and there are vaporetta stops 5 minutes away).
