I would recommend organising your own trips to Pisa/Florence Lucca etc rather than paying the prices of the Tour companies. I regret not booking the Ulfizi/other museums (Florence) in advance which is easily done on the internet/by phoning or asking the hotel to phone. Should make sure you do this at least 3 days ahead of trip to Florence and probably a week ahead in high season.

If arriving by train, plan about 15-20 min walk to the hotel or catch a taxi.

Excellent location, centrally placed on the promenade with views of the sea. Huge rooms, very clean.

When you purchase a train ticket you must use the little ticket stamps, on the platform or near the ticket office to verify your ticket before travelling on the train. Haggle with the market/street traders as they will significantly reduce the cost of the item! Be VERY firm with the traders on the beach as they take very little encouragement and will hassle you continueously.
