Perfectly fine facility. Complimentary granny smith apples appreciated, esp since nonincluded bkfst was E20 ! It is situated on an outer ring, so by walking, 30m+ to inner rings. It is off Apollaan -- wh is obviously an extremely swank residential area but not of sightseeing interest. For tourists a more central hotel wd be preferable.

The Bilderberg Garden was a wonderful hotel and we would definitely stay there again. It is small and extremely comfortable, with excellent service and a world-class restaurant. It is close to museums, in a quiet, affluent neighborhood, and only a 5-10 minute walk to tram lines. After long days of sightseeing and dining, it was a pleasure to come back to the hotel and sink into plush beds with luxury down pillows and comforters. We upgraded to Executive rooms, and found it to be well worth the minimal extra cost.

Not for everyone as it is a little bit of a trek to get to the city centre, but if you're happy jumping on trams it's not so bad and nowhere in Amsterdam is too far to walk. The hotel itself was pleasant without being extraordinary and while I accept it's probably not 5 stars it is still nice and the staff are very friendly. Didn't eat there at all so I can't comment on food.

We stayed at hotel for the first time and it was nice, the fire is lovely, however the staff have no idea about amsterdam. We tried to book a tour at the hotel however the staff were not able to do it and said it will take a while as they havent booked with the company before which I thought was strange as it was a red light district tour! Also staff are no very helpful with transport advice in amsterdam. Hotel was very clean and nice area though. I would go back now I know amsterdam myself.

Lovely hotel, friendly, helpful staff. Room great, really quiet, very warm though couldn't get air con working - hair dryer not efficient. We had enquired about tea/coffee facilities before we arrived and were told there were non - hence took own kettle - but there was tea/coffee in room!!!! Breakfast excellent if a little expensive. Overall fantastic hotel would stay again.

Had a lovely room...breakfast was top class, so much choice. The staff very friendly. My only fault although minor was the hairdryer, reminded me of a swimming pool type, and couldnt get on too well with it, apart from that top class and would most definatley return.

I stayed here with my fiance on a Friday and Saturday night in early October 2008. We travelled from the main Amsterdam train station by tram and it didn't take long to walk to the hotel (approximately 5 minutes). It also only took us 20 minutes or so to walk into the central districts of Amsterdam (and it's all on the flat so very easy walking). We thought the price for breakfast was expensive so we looked elsewhere but there didn't seem to be anywhere for breakfast in the immediate vicinity - we went to the Museaum area both days. We didn't try the hotel restaurant because we were meeting up with friends in the city. Staff at check in and at the bar were friendly and helpful. The room was a good size, well appointed, clean and comfortable. We were able to order a taxi from the hotel to the airport on our day of departure which was very convenient as it was pouring with rain. Overall a pleasant stay, a little expensive but that seemed to be true for Amsterdam generally.

Clean, comfortable, quiet accommodations in a convenient location. It is a couple blocks in each direction to tram lines but away from the crowds. It is not in the bustling city center but is a 5 minute tram ride away. When we saw how busy the city center is, we were very glad to be away from it. Housekeeping kept our room in excellent condition for the whole week we were there. The hotel staff spoke impeccable English and the bartenders were especially friendly. We would definitely recommend this hotel to others and would stay there again in the future.

We got the hotel at a discount price through Expedia and thought it was great for the price. We were charged city tax at the end of our stay so we recommend researching that before you go. It is a 20 minute walk into the main town but it is a lovely walk. There is a tram stop 5 minutes away, however. The room was cleaned everyday and the staff were more than happy to help throughout our stay.
