Description


Location. The Crowne Plaza Hotel Amsterdam City Centre is located in Amsterdam, The Netherlands, within 1.5 kilometres of the Anne Frank House, and two kilometres from the Van Gogh Museum. Amsterdam Central Station is 300 metres from the hotel.
Hotel Features. Set in a modern property the Crowne Plaza Hotel Amsterdam City Centre offers a 24- hour front desk, an all-hours room service menu, and secure valet parking on site (surcharge). There is also wireless Internet access throughout the hotel.

The hotel's Restaurant Dorrius is open for dinner, and serves traditional Dutch cuisine and international specialities. There is also a brasserie that offers breakfast and lunch from an à la carte menu, and Amsterdammer Bar and Patio offers drinks and light meals.

The hotel has its own business centre with meeting rooms.

There is an onsite health club that is open 24 hours, and offers an indoor pool, sauna, gym and solarium (surcharge). The hotel also offers a games room with video game consoles.

Guestrooms. There are 270 air- conditioned guestrooms with light, modern decor and carpeted floors. All include satellite television, bathrobes, minibars, direct-dial phones with voicemail, safes, and desks.

Expert Tip. The Rijksmuseum houses works by Rembrandt, Vermeer, Frans Hals, and Jan Steen to name but a few. Visiting on Wednesdays is recommended, when it is less busy.

From Amsterdam Schiphol International Airport (AMS):
Distance to Crowne Plaza Hotel Amsterdam City Centre is 17.5 kilometres, approximately 30 minutes' drive.

Getting there. There is a railway station in the terminal's central hall, under Schiphol Plaza; direct trains run to Amsterdam Centraal Station approximately every 15 minutes. Schiphol Travel Taxis are available from outside the arrivals hall, and fare to the hotel is approximately 45 EUR. Price is subject to change. Public buses also run regularly to Amsterdam and other cities. Amsterdam Central Station is three kilometres away.

Getting around. Much of Amsterdam can be explored on foot, although trams run throughout the city. More adventurous visitors may wish to hire bicycles.

Driving directions. Amsterdam Schiphol International Airport.
Take the Amsterdam Ringroad A10 West.
Take Exit S103.
Head for Centrum and follows signs to the hotel.

All you need and a great location too.

Avoid the larger glass tourist canal boat (recorded dialogue, multi language!) tours and opt for the smaller, more personal open topped versions with an informed guide.

Soulless but does the job

Try and book Anne Frank's house on the internet before you leave - queues are really long on the day

Location, location, location

All things being equal, the location of this hotel is a big plus if you are exploring the city by foot

Great Hotel

Would definitely go back to this hotel. Very clean and comfortable and just a short walk from the train station.
