Location location and location

If you really want to stay at a central location, close to all the hot spots, Di Ann is the best.

Reasonable

The hotel is conveniently located, within walking distance of Central station, Damrak and the Leidseplein. Staff are friendly and obliging. However, this hotel is not suitable for older people or the infirm, as the reception and rooms are accessed by an extremely steep stairs. My room was very small (ie say 8' x 4') although it did have an ensuite (which was nearly as big as the room itself itself!). Breakfast was included but again was quite basic. Overall, standard of accomodation was just about passable. Suited to students or those on a tight budget and not too discerning.

Best Locatino in Town

We were located very close to the Dam, Anne Frank house, and one of the best coffee shops in town (Grey Area). 3rd floor room w/a view of the street and canal was amazing. They were ok with smoking, which was nice. Breakfast was mediocre but unlimited.

Decent budget hotel in an excellent location

My boyfriend and I went to Amsterdam for New Year and had a brilliant time. The Di Ann was the cheapest available hotel for the time of year but I was a little worried after reading some of the reviews. However, the hotel was in a brilliant location - approx 2 mins to Dam Square, 5 mins to main coffee shop area and 8 mins from Leidseplein area. The room was comfortable and warm, the bedding was clean, the shower was powerful. It wasn't The Ritz but it was exactly what you would expect from a 2 star budget hotel. DO NOT STAY HERE IF YOU STRUGGLE WITH STAIRS - they were typical of the structures in Amsterdam and there was no lift.

Much too expensive for what we got!

There is no parking at this hotel, you need to park the car around the corner by the canal and we paid about 15 Euros for less than 3 hours! Stairs get very steep and dangerous by the top of first flight, no elevator. The room was extremely small, with worn carpets, double bed was uncomfortable, and it was just a double bed in a single room. The sheets were torn! No space between the bed and the window, you had to step over your suitcase on the floor to get anywhere. The remote control was was in pieces! I skipped breakfast and just left. The cost was way too high for what we got, I recommend a chain hotel of similar price.

Very Basic

Ok, so i paid one hundred pounds to stat at hotel di Ann in a double room for one night. It is one of the cheapest hotels to stay at on Hotels.com in Amsterdam. Its basic. The room is very small, but clean. two paces from the bed, is the,you guessed it, very small, toilet shower room. The fact it has a safe is great, because without the safe, it wouldn't be safe. The hotel is a fifteen minute walk from Central Station. Its in a nice location, not right in the middle of things. But easily in walking distance of Amsterdams vibrant night life. The decor looks like it could need a little upgrade. It looks pretty tatty, especially in the bedrooms. While laying in bed you are looking up at a stained false ceiling with broken tiles. Nice Over all i'd say, if you've got a tight budget and dont mind staying in a small , but clean room for a night or two this is ideal.

Not for Disabled people

The Di Ann Hotel is a standard hotel that provides good comfortable accomodation, with a TV and fridge in the room. There are a LOT of steps to each floor, and i'm not sure i even saw a lift. Still, it was okay by me! rather like a standard London B+B
