Would Stay Again

The hotel was well situated been 2o minute walk from most tourist attractions, with a tram line situated 150 metres away. The room was clean and well maintained thought didn't have a kettle!!Don't get the breakfast as there are many little coffee shops situated around the hotel,Staff were very helpful when asking for restaurants and directions.

Just OK

The hotel is OK, the rooms are adequate, but the bathroom is very small, no-where to put toliteries. There is no tea & coffee facilities in the room. Due to the type of building the was only a small window in one corner of the room which looked out onto a wall approx 5 feet away so the room was quite dark.

Excellent Location and Value for money

This hotel is brilliantly located just out of the hustle and bustle of Dam centre. The hotel is well furnished throughout with modern appliances all in working order. Everything was clean and in good condition, and the room was lovely. The staff were very friendly, the bar area is a nice place to have your morning coffee or evening drink before heading out. My only problem with this hotel is that the staff responsible for cleaning the rooms each morning made an Absolute racket every morning past, above and below our room. Im quite a deep sleeper and this woke me everyday. In my experience of staying at other hotels - the cleaning staff have been, and should be quiet as mice.

Overall good value for money

As this hotel was relatively cheap we thought there might be a few compromises which there were... PROs - its in a great location near bars, restaurants and cafes - our room was clean, comfortable and modern. CONs - overall the hotel is a little bit dated and tired - our window was overlooking a club which kept us awake on the Friday, and it didn't close until 5AM

Liked it and would come back

I stayed with my partner for a sightseeing weekend. We found the staff friendly and helpful, liked the room's design. The bed was incredibly comfortable, too. The only thing I have to say is that I found the lights in the bathroom much too bright and the shower glass door swung around in all different angles as it was not fitted properly.

Perfect location in a great city

I would recommend this hotel for any guest. It was clean comfotable and the service was excellent. If you are thinking of staying here. Try out the hotels restaurant called Flo we didn't realise it was part of the hotel until we got our bill and the hotel name was at the end. The meal was fantastic. The Ice bar is only a few doors down a definite must see. Overall this hotel ticked all the boxes if I was going back to Amsterdam I would stay here again.

not too bad

Good location and helpful staff - let us check in early as the room was ready (good start as we were soaked after walking from the station) and nice hotel bar. Room was a tad on the small side but as we only stayed 2 nights it was fine for us. Clean and tidy.

A Central Gem of a Hotel

Location is fantastic, great view from our room over the Amstel. Right next to Rembrandt Square with loads of cafe's, bars and several nice Coffeshops nearby. About 20 mins walk from most of Central Amsterdams sights. Anne Frank's House and Van Gough were further out but all in walking distance. If Coffeshops are your thing try the Greenhouse over the river and next to the Music Theater. Friendly staff, great cup sizes and outside smoking section. Also near the red light district, about 10 mins walk away. Room was comfy, although twin beds pushed together really puts a crink in your back. Very nicely decorated. We didnt try the hotel food as we ate out every day. All in all this was a fantastic hotel and we were very pleased with our stay and the level of service we recieved. Definatley recomend it to young couples who are visiting Amsterdam for the first time.
