Not impressed

Don't miss out on the brilliant restaurant on site called Flo. It really is one of Amsterdam's best kept secrets.

The comfiest beds ever

This hotel was absolutely brilliant - just two small niggles re the tea and coffee making facilities,a teaspoon would have been useful!! Also leave more creamer or milk - two sachets not enough.

Good location, ok hotel

For the price, compared to other hotel costs in Amsterdam, this hotel is ok. It just seems a bit run down and a bit unloved and does not compare with other 4-star hotels we have stayed in. The carpet in the room was stained and ugly, the bed too soft and uncomfortable, the walls and floors very thin (bring ear plugs if you're a light sleeper). On the up side, it's in a very good location, easy to get around, you can walk just about anywhere and it's really easy to get to central station and the airport. Not a luxury hotel, but ok for a weekend break.

Very good quality and location.

Hotel is very well and centrally located. Can walk to virtually every major attraction. Tram line runs right beside hotel.

Not worth the money

There are a number of places nearby where you can buy very good rolls etc - buy these rather than the overpriced breakfast.

Beautiful hotel for a decent price

Amsterdam is not a cheap city to stay in, so don't let this hotel's price faze you too much. The room was extremely clean and very modern looking. The TV had a lot of channels to choose from, unlike a lot of hotels in Europe. The bed was incredibly comfortable and large enough for at least three people to sleep in. The best part about the room was definitely the bathroom/shower. Especially the shower, it was amazing. Probably the best I have ever experienced. Its biggest problem was how far away it was from the central train station, about 1 mile (which is not fun to walk carrying very heavy luggage). All in all, a beautiful hotel, highly recommended.

Mixed experience

This hotel was comfortable and pleasant. Its location was convenient for my purposes, as I was attending a conference at the RAI conference center (I could use tram line #4 from Rembrandt square). The room was quiet and comfortable, although small. I was quite disappointed in the hotel staff. They didn't give me a requested wake-up call one morning, which made me late to a meeting. The maid almost always forgot to do things in the room. Sometimes she didn't clean up the dirty coffee cup or leave new coffee supplies. One day, she took the dirty towels but didn't leave any new ones. Another day, she left a bottle of liquid cleaner lying on top of some of my papers and all got soaked. So my review is mixed. The hotel is comfortable and generally pleasant, but several people on the staff were not doing their jobs.

Great room and great location

Very updated, modern furnishings. Quiet hotel in nice central location. Staff very helpful. Would absolutely stay here again. Trams close by. Free internet access (wired) in the room, as well as kiosks and wireless in the lobby.

Great location

Very nice hotel, great location, very easy to get to from central station and close to tram stops. Lots to do within very easy walking distance. Only marked the hotel down as they failed to service the room on the Sunday - they were very apologetic!
