There is an amazing bakery down the street when u turn right when u get out of the hotel. Its called simon and weyser and there is a supermarket right next to it. In the opposite way there is a meat, wine and cheese store which has the best cheese and liverworst i've ever tasted, its called Pasteuring.

Not the best hotel I've ever stayed in, however was clean , tidy and very close to the tram. 15 mins from the airport in a Taxi, worth getting if two persons or more, as it's the same price as the train to central station.

As a breakfast alternative, there are several cafes towards the city centre that will offer a continental or English breakfast for a few euros, or if you really want to save some good money, make use of the fridge in your hotel room, go to one of the small supermarkets in the city centre, buy some supplies and make your own!

Nice, clean hotel with decent sized rooms. All very clean. Good breakfast but a little of the expensive side. Easy access to tram number 2 to get city centre. About a 35 minute walk from the RAI congress centre, there aren't any direct trams of buses.

the hotel is outdated and in serious need of a makeover. also, quite far from the city centre. if you want to stay at the park plaza, then choose the park plaza victoria, conviniently located outside centraal station and of very high standards.

The Park Plaza Vondelpark is a very nice hotel. It's a modern hotel that includes such features as a large flat panel television mounted on the room wall. The location, while a little out of the way, is in a very quiet, attractive community near beautiful Vondel Park. A tram stop is about a block away, or the walk into the center of the city takes about half an hour. The only negative was the hotel service: desk staff are not very friendly or eager to help, and cleaning staff was inconsistent (forgetting to refill tissue containers, for example).

This hotel was nicely decorated, well maintained, clean with helpful staff. All I could ask for really. Better than many 4* places I've stayed in. Easy to get to from the station on the number 2 tram (or walkable if you don't have many bags) and situated right on the edge of the beautiful Vondelpark.

The hotel was lovely, comfortably, just far enough out of the centre to get some peace, but close enough to be in the centre quickly. Would definately go back. Bed's really comfy and great shower!

Stay here if you want a cheap rate and don't mind taking the tram or walking to the city center. The cheaper rate is worth it in the long run. Tram 2 and 5 off of Emmastrat across from the police station takes you anywhere you need to be very quickly right around the corner from the hotel!

There is a GREAT place that does amazing takeout. If you turn left from the hotel entrance, walk toward the tram, make another right at the first street past the tram, and then ask one of the locals, you'll definitely be able to find it. Don't forget to check out the grocery store that is on the same street (opposite side of the road) only a few stores down. You can buy drinks and other snacks here and if you have a minibar in the room (I did), it's a perfect way to take care of the munchies.
